I placed an order through DoorDash- however there error was NOT DDs fault. I found the wrong pizz in the box. I ordered a Hawaiian but Got veggie pie (covered in mushrooms I can’t eat) even though my order sticker shows my ordered item.
I called the restaurant to try to get a remake. I didn’t want a refund from DD, the only available option.
I spoke with friendly Tyler who said, I’m going to get you help and apologized for the mistake.
A curt woman stated she is the manager said “You ordered through DD so you’re going to have to go through them.” I explained that I didn’t want a refund- I wanted pizza. She said “It’s the risk you take ordering through DoorDash”.
I have worked with the public my entire life, but telling me I made some sort of risky choice to order from a legitimate service that Papa Johns parters and markets with is WRONG.
I tell her that regardless I’m still a PJ’s customer. Tyler made a very reasonable request to her to do a remake and she could only say to me was that he’s only worked there for two weeks and that its policy. And that PJ’s takes a hit every time someone orders DD!
I fully understand 3rd party transitions- professionally dealing with 3rd party booking sites.
DoorDash did not make the error, just as if when someone stays in a hotel and the sheets are dirty, that is not on Priceline. Even if you can’t refund, the Hotel (that be PJ’s) make it right. The 3rd party doesn’t come and change the sheets and apologize for the mistake. I did not ask for a refund, I asked for a pizza I ordered.
There needs to be customer service regardless of the source of the sale.

Read moreDid a carry out order about 11 am for 2 garlic epic stuffed crust pizzas and an order of the hot lemon pepper bone in wings. By the time I got around to eating the second pizza it was about 6 pm (saved one for the Super Bowl right!) I noticed that the crust of the pizza texture is gummy. I pull the toppings off and the pizza is literally doughy and raw. I call Papa John’s local store at 1313 West Main St. and request a refund for one of the pizzas. A guy identifying himself as the manager tells me “I should have called earlier” and that I can bring the pizza back to the store for them to look at. So I take the pizza back and the a woman identifying herself as the general manager tells me they can’t guarantee freshness after so many hours. I told her that argument would be relevant if I was complaining about the pizza being old (which wasn’t the case) it wasn’t done. Then she asked me to show her where the pizza wasn’t cooked thoroughly. I show her the dough and she commenced to arguing that it was cheese from the stuff crust and not dough. I tell her that I’m not here to argue with her but I’m the customer and I would like a refund for one of the pizzas that wasn’t eaten. She then tells me that the system won’t allow her to give me a refund. I asked for the corporate phone number, she refused to provide it and told me to Google it. I asked for the district manger’s contact info and she refused to provide it. I’m not sure what’s the deal with the restaurants in this area thinking that they can treat paying customers any type of way. Their ineptitude is staggering. Ma’am you’re an hourly employee you have no stake in this franchise what so ever! ...
Read moreI bought a pizza online and have bought many pizzas online before from this store. Once I ordered the pizza, I immediately headed over to the store to pick it up. This pizza; however, was barley warm when I brought it home (I drove straight home too). I haven’t had this issue before. I called the store and spoke to Olivia who told me there was nothing she or the GM could do and that there are reheating instructions on the box. I’ve worked many customer service jobs in restaurants and this was poor customer service. I’ve had a long couple days and just wanted a pizza to make this evening easier. I spent hard-earned money on a luke-warm pizza. The economy is already awful enough that Luke-warm pizza really sets the tone. It’s wild to me that their way of fixing a problem is telling me to fix it myself. If I buy food from a restaurant it’s because I was wanting the convenience of having something already made and not having to take time to re-heat something that was suppose to be hot. Olivia needs to find another job because as I’ve said I’ve had many customer service jobs and her customer service was appalling. You might want to think of ordering your pizza somewhere else cause if Olivia is there she’s gonna tell you it’s your...
