Kroger has always offered a program that gives you one item that rings up wrong, if you catch it. If you buy 3 items and they all ring up incorrectly, you only get one item for free. I was at the U Scan. I pushed call attendant button for wrong price rung up. I waited and waited and waited. Finally, I flagged down the attendant. The nice young man got waved over quickly by another customer. It wasn't his fault, but I had my light blinking and had waited extensively. So, he says he's never heard of this plan. I asked how long he's worked there, thinking he was new. He said he had been their two years. I insisted he go ask manager. He came back and said they said no such thing. I said I have done this my whole adult life, as recent as this past spring. I asked what is his managers name? He said it's not a he, it's a she and her name is Maccie/ Macy. It was 3.50 and marked half off of that. It should have rang up 1.75. He ended up just charging 1.00. I think this policy should be told to entire staff. 🤔 I called a Kroger employee and he said it is still a program in place. I googled it and it states it is in place also. I will Google it and show them next time. It did say it wasn't available at every Kroger. It was available at all the Krogers I frequent in Lebanon TN where this took place. It also is in place at both Mt Juliet stores and Hermitage and Donelson, TN.
I went to Publix and had an item ring up wrong a couple of months ago. I asked if they do like Kroger and give item free. They said they never heard of it. I asked if they would ask manager. They said, you know what, just do it! And they did. They didn't want to be outdone by Kroger, so they made an executive decision. We're only talking a couple of bucks. If I have to ring and bag and be my own cashier and carry to my car, the least you can do, is honor a program in place for...
Read moreThis particular location was very busy but everything appeared tidy and clean. The isles were free of debris and swept clean, the restroom was stocked well with whatever you'd need and was also obviously cleaned every few hours or so. The only thing I would say is a difficulty here is having to use their pharmacy. It takes hours, of not a whole day, to fill your prescription and then, when you go to pick it up there are only 3 people working there in the pharmacy. One person stays at the drive-thru window, the pharmacist fills prescriptions by herself and the last person is the one at the cash register, running to fetch prescriptions then ring people up and NO ONE is worried about time or how long customers have been waiting. After waiting 40 minutes in line at the pharmacy behind 2 customers, I finally got to the check out and when I asked the lady a question about my prescription-she completely ignored me and just kept leaving the register. The only words out of her mouth was my total. No smile, nothing. That's it, just what my total was. So, nice store but a word to the wise- be very wary if you're thinking of maybe using the...
Read moreWent to Kroger in Lebanon to fill up the car. The pump would not read the card. Wayne goes to the window. The hateful employee, Myra, was rude and yelled at Wayne. She actually told him "there are plenty of other places to get gas". We only got $25.00. I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager. The store manager said he would come to the pump and get the situation resolved. Ken, the operations manager, came to the gas station. Wayne and I got out of the car. I showed him my receipt and asked whether or not I had 300 points to use. He agreed I did. He asked if I had another card. I said no. He said he would take care of it. I said I don't want 30 cents back on 1/2 tank of gas. That's stupid! He told me he would not talk to me if I kept yelling. I told him he needed to tell his employees not to yell at the customers. He said yelling at him wouldn't get anything done. I got back in the car. Wayne talked to him. He did not yell. Nothing got done. Wayne and I both worked at Kroger for many years. We would have been fired on the spot if we had treated a customer the way we were just treated. You just lost a 36 year...
