My husband and I have driven up to 60 mles for the pleasure of discovering that extra special, quality donut shop, so we have wanted to try these donuts since they opened locally at Foxwoods for quite some time. We finally did so last night.. It was a busy Saturday, peak hours, and it should have meant the donuts would have been fresh and delicious, but I've had FAR better donuts at Dunkin Donuts, and that is not a compliment or any kind of praise for D&D lol. The ordering process at this place is so much more confusing than it has to be--just so unnecessary. The staff couldn't be bothered to say more than 3 words at a time and looked absolutely miserable. The donuts themselves are way overpriced--$6 for a single donut the same size and not even as good as a Dunkin Donut? Omg. I got the stuffed s'mores and my husband got the choc-a-lot. Both looked far beter than they tasted and who knows?? Maybe if we could have figured out the ordering process of the "minis" and brought home a box as planned it would have been better, but since the staff couldn't be bothered? Neither could we. Absolute waste of calories AND money. I will never go back. Product in NO WAY...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Sprinkletown with my daughters and I can confidently say it was one of the best donut experiences we have ever had! Watching them being freshly made right in front of us added to the excitement—seeing the dough rise and then being topped in that rich, velvety dark chocolate glaze was a treat for the senses. Each mini was perfectly crafted, with just the right balance of sweetness. The dark chocolate was rich without being overpowering, and the texture was soft and fluffy. We also indulged in the coffee coconut donut, which was an absolute revelation. The combination of coffee flavor with the subtle hint of coconut was perfectly balanced, making for a delightful bite that was both refreshing...
Read moreWhile visiting Foxwoods, we stopped for dessert at the newly opened Sprinkletown. They had a great selection of donuts and customizable treats! It was later on Saturday night when we visited, but I was impressed that the donuts weren’t stale at all. I had a chocolately donut, and my fiancé customized a soft serve creation with s’mores mini donuts. Our only critiques are that we thought the soft serve could’ve been a little higher quality (the chocolate didn’t really taste like chocolate), and the staff could’ve been a bit friendlier. Overall though, I would definitely stop by for another donut during a visit to Foxwoods - the smell alone as you walk by is enough to...
