Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Leesburg

Ordered ahead on the app and got to the location about 5 minutes early. I submitted my arrival and the stall screen showed that it was received.

Nothing happened at the start of the time window, nothing happened by the end of the time window (Name disappeared and screen went back to normal). I was hoping for a quick retrieval, due to ordering ahead, so this wasn't going well.

The drive-thru seemed to be quite active with cars being processed, so I decided to leave the stall and drive to the speaker box. Must have been an optical illusion, as this now took an additional 10 minutes to actually receive my food, from the wait at the speaker to the wait for the other cars ahead of me.

Basically, I was at the location for approximately 20-25 minutes before getting my ordered ahead food.

I can't say what was taking place inside, but there appeared to be a hiring event going on outside or a very intensive break session with about 5 or 6 people. Location didn't appear busy, as the cars in the stalls were possibly from this group.

Long story short, my local Sonic tends to have my order out to me within a couple of minutes of arrival, and this location wasn't even close.

I went to Sonic Drive - In Leesburg, FL on Friday February 3, 2023 for lunch and it was a nightmare! I spent my entire lunch break in the drive thru. The car behind me was catered to because he ordered a drink. I waited in line forever. I asked for extra onions on my sandwich and did not get it. I asked for fresh fries no salt and got old fries with plenty of salt! I don’t understand why I waited so long not to get what I ordered and paid for. I gave the fries back and waited on fresh fries mind you it’s a medium. I got a medium fry cup back and it was equivalent to a kids meal fry at McDonald’s. Not to mention it was not fresh. The fries look like they were re-dipped in grease. The looked sticky! The service was horrible! Absolutely the worst service in history. I spent my entire lunch in the drive thru! I went back to work and no lunch! This was a waste! I would suggest to go somewhere else for break! You will not get what you paid for! They will give you dog food literally! And they expect you to order wait take it and go! They give you nothing of what...

Omg this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had anywhere. We sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes no one answered the car ahead of us so she pulled up to the window we tried to pull around and order at one of the screens and it took this girl 20 minutes to take our order, my sister in law had to repeat our order 6 times. We needed a mini peanut butter shake, a small peanut butter shake, and a medium Oreo peanut butter shake. Now. This is a very very very easy order we didn’t order 20 things. There were only 3 cars in the parking lot and they didn’t even get their order taken yet. They were getting pissed and walking up to the front of the building and asking what was going on and stuff. They just weren’t paying attention and didn’t answer us when we asked like for our total or if anyone was there. And don’t get me wrong I was an order taker at a McDonald’s for over a year I know what it’s like to be on the other end but if I ever made someone wait like that and was actually clueless like that...
