This was my first experience. We went to see what this restaurant was all about. I loved the rosemary fries. I ordered the Gypsy burger. Two bites in realized it wasn't even cooked--totally red inside--and gooey. oooo....thoughts of e-coli and stuff. Scared me a bit--I'd never seen a burger like that--not in a bun, anyway. I went to take it back and a guy came around and tried to explain that I shouldn't worry because all their cows are "grass fed". Huh? I have a background in nutritional education, and this is the first time I've heard that feeding a cow grass (which should be a cow's diet, anyway) would eliminate bacteria in uncooked meat. ??? My husband watched from afar and was about to get up and tell the guy to stop giving excuses and get me a new burger, when finally through my several disagreements the guy asked me if I'd like to have it recooked. Of course--that's why my first words were...."my hamburger's not cooked". It took a long time to get the new one, and my husband was long-finished with his big meal by then. The replacement was cooked, but short on bacon and zero bbq sauce. Oh well, we gave you a shot. And I hope the giant pupils on that poor manager kid are....normal....??? BTW, when he returned, we asked how grass fed has anything to do with undercooked meat being safe, and he said "it doesn't have pesticides". Hmmmm....wow. Some people need a serious education....what are they teaching these kids in those food safety cert classes these...
Read moreI don’t know how this chain still exists. The 5/6 times I’ve been it’s been a terrible food experience every single time and today was no exception. Trying something new, i ordered the tri tip steak salad and it was the most disappointing OVERPRICED salad I’ve ever had. Four bites of steak on a bed of soggy romaine with a few under ripe cherry tomatoes and subpar dressing for a whopping 15 dollars. Our whole meal included two of these salads, a bowl of mac and cheese (which was the best part tbh) and some fries for FORTY DOLLARS. We walked away still hungry and upset we didn’t spend half the price and just go to the costa Vida across the way.
ALSO if the owner or manager read this, sir or maam, you cannot, for the love of God, install a farm style sink head and have the most shallow sink known to mankind to go with it. Using the restroom, water was EVERYWHERE and trying to wash my hands and the hands of my toddler was a complete disaster. I had to change her shirt after using the facilities because she was absolutely soaked from this poor design.
Anyway, i love the idea of a healthier food chain but that salad was the most disappointing thing of my life. Maybe there are better items but I’ve also tried their burgers and everything is just overpriced and lacks quality.

Read moreI’ve been coming to Cubby’s since they first started in Provo and have been here about 50-75 times since. I order the exact same thing every time. Tri tip steak sandwich, spicy sauce, no bacon, extra well done. I’m pretty picky about my steak and I love when they overcook their tri tip. Every other location I’ve been to does not have an issue with me asking this as they have a grill but the last 3 times I’ve been here the past few months have been such a pain to ask. The team member with the long braid (not sure of her position) here is a bit rude and says it’s already well done and dismisses the request. I let her know that yes but could you please just throw it on the grill a little longer and she said she’d ask the cooks to see if they’d understand. I keep getting this kind of pushback. When I try and explain I’ve been here many times and if they could just please spend a few extra minutes, they brush me off and I cross my fingers hoping it’ll happen. If you can just please train your staff and order taking team specifically to just be willing to hear the customer and if it takes a few minutes, then maybe that’s okay. Also I wanted to note the sandwich came out perfectly and the food is amazing. It’s just a matter of customer...
