Burger King — Restaurant in Lemon Grove

UPDATE: Visited Burger King on Broadway in Lemon Grove last night for dinner. Actually sat in traffic and drove extra 10 miles out of my way to go to this location, because their food quality and service is usually superior to what I receive at the Johnson location in El Cajon (hint hint!!) Tonight was a major disappointment. I ordered in app, was supposed to get a free Whopper Jr with my order (which I was really hankering for) and I had also ordered a chocolate shake which I'd been craving. I also ordered halfsies (they were perfect) and a 16 pack chicken nuggets. Those were good and fresh as well. However, I was supposed to get 4 ranch sauce to go with, it's even on the receipt, none were dispensed. I also made sure to request a straw (which was dispensed), and napkins (which were dispensed). First I had to wait behind several cars (not the restaurant"s fault obviously). When I got up to the window, I was informed that they couldn't do shakes, so I requested a root beer instead. But shakes are more expensive, and there was no price adjustment made to return me the difference in price paid. I also did not get my Whopper Jr, which was the original reason I went there in the first place!! There may be an issue with the app not properly recording my order, because I customized the Whopper Jr, it showed as in my cart, at no charge, but it doesn't show on my receipt ( possibly because it was a no charge item?) I had used the drive thru and had a friend with me - her order was fine, she got all of her items and everything was made fresh. She had no complaints. She asked if I wanted to go back through but there was a long line again at the drive through and I didn't feel like waiting again. Very disappointing visit especially as I'm accustomed to getting top notch service at...

Not flame broiled, plain patty. They MICROWAVE BURGERS. Had whopper but wished it tasted flame broiled. I think at night they just cook it without flame broiling flavor. Which was disappointing cuz i rarely get red meat. I think the night cooking and daytime taste is different . I wish the patty had flavor or salted AND FLAME BROILED...thats what did set them apart. I remember a while ago after 9:30 I went through the drive-thru and I was like can you make sure my Whopper is flame broiled and they said "sorry we justt cleaned the grills at this time so it's just going to be warmed up like a microwave or something." She wasntlying and is has NOT CHANGED. How about you clean the grills before you close the shop and not cut corners. So listen this location does not give you the flavor that you might get at a different Burger King . I literally spent $8 for extra vegetables in the sandwich and a hopefully have a flame broiled Whopper but it was so plain that even when I got home and put salt and pepper it didn't really make it better at all... I don't even like to complain but... I want to be able to come in the middle of the day or late at night if that's when I stopped working get a flame broiled... Finally got up the nerve to try the new Burger King (American-ized) Tacos. At $1.00 ea. it's a pretty good deal. The shells are light and crispy. However... the fillings in the tacos were a bit on the skimpy side. Little cheese, and Light lettuce. The meat is what sets it apart from the competition. It was very well seasoned and pleasant to the taste. I will be having more of these. The restaurant itself is a different story. I found it dingy and not what I expected. The bathroom had urine on the floor, and a VERY strong odor of fecal matter. I had to search for a clean table at 2:30pm. When I found one, There was light bits of trash on the ground under the table. It also was concerning to me that the service appeared to be 90% focused on "Drive-Thru". The rest of us didnt appear to matter. The manager herself took my order. She was very productive and matter of fact. That said, It would have been nice to at least be greeted and acknowledged while I was waiting for her to finish taking a drive thru order on the radio. She never smiled, and never thanked me. While the tacos were good,.... I wont likely be visiting this specific location again in the immediate future. Jack in the Box sells Americanized Tacos right...
