Yum Yum Donuts Lemon Grove — Restaurant in Lemon Grove

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE We ordered Yum Yum Donuts last evening (4/21/2023) via Uber Eats. As typical for an Uber Eats delivery, they forgot stuff. Only they forgot about $20.00 worth of food. Remedy was sought via using the Uber Eats app, which was declined stating it is "ineligible for refund", when we called Yum Yum seeking a remedy they acknowledged that the food was forgotten but said to call Uber Eats and that they would refund the money for the missing items. Welp, Uber Eats said nope, not our problem. So now we are forced to call the bank and dispute the charge as Yum Yum and Uber Eats are stealing. I despise that Yum Yum Donuts is forcing us to seek remedy against a small business, but there is no other choice. It is a shame to type this post out, but let this serve as a warning, if you order from Yum Yum, they will tell you to pound sand if they screw up and they rely on Uber Eats to back them up.

DoD (Day Old Doughnuts) can't beat them . I don't have much money..., so whenever I can save a little, I do .... so let me start with a short story about this little shop, and the great manager that this shop has. I'm up most nights pretty late , sometimes all night. Late one night , or was it early morning, I was out for some fresh air; I was cold , hungry, and about to fall asleep. So this place is open 24/7 . I had maybe 2,or3 $ . So I order a coffee and I ask if they have any day old doughnuts, you know the ones they are about to throw out ; like they do every day. Well he hooked me up with a small bag ( of doughnuts)to add to my large coffee. Wide awake from the coffee, full belly from the doughnuts I was ready to start my day or continue it anyway. So I always tip them when I can, and sometimes I don't get there early enough for the day old d's , but I am definitely a fan. 5stars...

I am obsessed with their whipped cream Long John bar donut. It's gloriously good! The only place, it seems, to get it is at the Yum Yum Donuts in Lemon Grove. I have been to many Yum Yum Donuts and the related Winchell's Donut Houses. They have the Long John bar donut but it ain't whipped cream filled. Sadly, I don't live close enough to Lemon Grove which is both a blessing and a curse. I would probably eat it every day, multiple times a day and the calories would add up on me. Speaking of which, I estimate it to be about 630 cals based on the non-cream filled value (380) plus 50g of a not overly heavy whipped cream (250). Whatever you do please, please, please don't buy the very last one because it just might be the day I drive way out of my way for it. Instead, get an apple fritter and coffee because they are...
