Burros & Fries Lemon Grove — Restaurant in Lemon Grove

The cooks do not know how to read. Cooks do not add right amount of ingredients. Imagine paying 11 dollars and still being hungry because your burrito was NOT made correctly. with all the extra ingredients that were paid for! Once I was even given an unwanted extra ingredient, it came in the form of a short black hair thanks! Who wouldn't want hair in their food??? The Xolo burrito is another one I like to get here it's good, the issue being that for some reason,(probably because I return the food when they mess up), if the cooks see me asking for it I get a very tiny burrito even when I ask for extra anything that I'm obviously paying for. What do I get? I ask for extra shrimp I get less than the regular amount. Even tho I paid for it? Then there is their carne Asada burrito tastes like the cook just adds wayyyy too much salt or seasoning or what ever. Thee annoying part that really gets to me is when I get home I sit down and realize when it's too late that my order is wrong I just get angry and let my dogs have it. That's right, when your cooks mess up it turns into dog food. I may be left hungry but hey at least they eat good, right? I don't like to be rude, but I don't get money for free. I earn my money. I don't like wasting it by giving my dogs 20$ worth of taco shop food. Every time I'm not cooking after work. Any time I get food here I find some issue. This has been going on for over a year. And after so many times of this reacurring issue I have to give you a bad review. BTW the rolled tacos are awesome! Best I've ever had. Even after countless errors, I still choose to go here. Your food is good. But there is issues. The other taco shops in the area are not any good. So I will still go here. And I will continue to return everything your cooks mess up, or my dogs...

First time ordering from here. I ordered from Uber eats craving some tacos while my toddler slept. At first, I was worried at the prices for each taco but I was hungry and wanted something near my home to get there quickly. I had to come on google maps to review because its worth it. The flavors, the salsas, and those portions. I love seafood tacos and I thought I was getting some basic small taco. They proved me wrong! When I say I can eat 10 tacos like a food champ; two seafood tacos filled me up. I didn't get to take a picture because I devoured it so fast. However, the beer battered fish taco and the shrimp taco were the size of regular corn tacos side by side. I got my toddler the small portion campechana French fries and that still seems like a large portion so I can't imagine what the actual large portion is. These cooks here have a good eye for portions and I'm super happy with the amount I got for the price considering I was a bit suspect. The food is delicious, packaged well, and obvious they keep clean. Sometimes I hate ordering for delivery because it disrupts the food but my driver was careful. All I can really say after all of that is you need to try some tacos with Burros and Fries from this location. They know what they're doing and I can say you won't be disappointed. Don't fear the price, it matches what you're paying for because they're delicious and large. You better come hungry they got you covered. I hope this restaurant continues their success and don't lose themselves in the process. I want to keep coming here and...

Not so great customer service.. :/ The order taker was not friendly and rushed me. Another employee seemed disgruntled when I asked for assistance because part of my order was missing. Okay, maybe something happened previously so it happens, moving on.. Food was below average; not only compared to other Mexican take out but also compared to another Burros & Fries location! I requested a little extra Chipotle with my bowl and stated more than once that "on the side" is fine because it was already made and lidded, but they insisted upon taking it back, removing the lid, and adding such an abundant amount of Chipotle mayo that my bowl became a "soup"! Well, okay.. accepted the fact that it's a matter of opinion on quantity and moved on. Had a torta; one half of bread was burnt. Had the 3 rolled tacos combo with beans and rice but the beans were rather dry and the rice seemed old. As previously mentioned, this is based mainly upon comparison to another Burros & Fries location that we have been to more than a few times and had not had a negative experience. If one thing had been of poor quality then I would not have written a review.. There was only one other customer/couple in the restaurant as well so they were not busy. I don't know what happened. Maybe someday I'll give them another shot but not...
