Dayton's Coffee Tea & Confections — Restaurant in Lemoyne

Had a very unpleasant experience at Dayton’s this weekend. I usually love purchasing tea and sometimes coffee here, and at Easter..their peanut butter eggs are to die for!

However, this Saturday we went to the counter near the tea display and noticed things were arranged differently. I wasn’t sure about the procedure for being waited on (line vs counter 1st come 1st serve) and after being ignored, and getting critical glances, I asked if everything was to go through what I thought had always been the “to go coffee” line. The employee snapped at me and said it’s always been this way, and her response appeared to be timed as she came out from the counter for another purpose, using the opportunity to seemingly “make an example” of me by loudly declaring she would NOT wait on me if I wouldn’t go through the line as required.

Well, of course! That’s what needs to happen in a civilized society, and It was humiliating and disrespectful to publicly shame me when I was simply asking clarification not special treatment.

I can’t see myself ever getting teas and coffees there again. It feels somewhat petty to write such a review, but it was such an awful experience, I felt compelled to submit this complaint. I hope they...

A long time staple at the WSFM that shouldn't be missed! Excellent coffee - the girls are on top of it - and I never leave the Market without an iced coffe! Today the gentleman helped me find beans that were less acidic but bold in flavor. He suggested a mixture of 2 that he drinks. I said sure - I'll take it! He talked to me for awhile and when I woke for my coffee this morning - I love the blend! Can't go wrong...
