I am not sure exactly what to say, this has been a business I have been going to for over 20+ years. From their old location off Lincoln st to their “new location” off chestnut.
Their food was at one time VERY good, now I do not believe they are even on par with a chain run “Olive Garden”. Chicken Parmigiana had the consistency of wild game. Very very chewy and greasy to the point I didn’t even have and breading attached to the chicken just sort of placed on top like a bunch of misshaped roofing shingles.
I am almost positive aside from one or two employees that have been their 15 years the entire staff has been sourced from an applicant pool of very low caliber. I have personally seen their “management team” belittle employees on the floor for mistakes they made. (This is unacceptable because the customer likely was unaware a mistake was made until the management made sure to confront the waitstaff within ear shot of the table, which in turn made the entire table feel uncomfortable and left within 8 minutes without eating much of their food. When I asked the table why they were leaving so suddenly they told me “ it’s an uncomfortable situation for them to hear someone being reprimanded for something they didn’t even notice or care about.
New rules of work environment seems to be removing the quality help they once were renowned for is simply leaving due to poor management or poor quality work environment.
Sad to see a great establishment go to hell because an owner has removed themselves from the equation by taking on “partners” in the business.
To Jules you are welcome to retire as you deserve but I would highly recommend either running the business or selling the business because the last 8 years this place has...

DaVinci’s Eatery was a standout from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. What truly impressed us was how accommodating they were to our dietary needs—they offered both gluten-free and vegan options without hesitation, and everything was thoughtfully prepared.
The food was absolutely delicious. The pizza was crisp for a gluten free crust and full of flavor, with a perfect balance of sauce and cheese, crispy pepperoni, smokey bacon, and plump mushroom medley. I was thrilled with their vegan pasta option—my husband found it was hearty, flavorful, and far from an afterthought. It’s so refreshing to find a restaurant that takes plant-based options seriously. And the fact that they offered gluten-free pasta made the meal accessible and enjoyable for everyone in our group.
My stepson ordered the ravioli and declared it divine—and we had to agree. The filling was rich and savory, the pasta perfectly tender, and the sauce brought everything together beautifully.
From their attention to dietary accommodations to the quality of the food and the friendly, attentive service, DaVinci’s truly hit the mark on excellence. We left feeling full, happy, and already talking about when we’ll return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious Italian food in an inclusive,...
Read moreWe dined in for lunch. What a fantastic selection for options. We began with the Bruschetta and the Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms. I had the Eggplant Parmigiana Panini sandwich which was served perfectly. Nice soft bread, but crusty enough from the grill. Just enough flavorful sauce with hearty portions of fried eggplant. You could really taste the basil 👌 My other table mates had The Linguine Carbonara (which I heard was amazing. Lots of good color and presentation), Seafood Pomodoro (which was loaded with pasta and seafood. Great portion size and great presentation) and lastly the Classic Eggplant Parmigiana was a great portion size (even for the lunch size) and the Eggplant portions were nice and thick with a generous helping of Marinara sauce.
The food and the ambiance was fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive, but to the point of almost annoying. We felt very rushed at times. She stopped by our table at least 10 times and we even had politely indicated that we were looking to sit for awhile and have a slow lunch. I don't know if this is the design of DaVinci's or not, but that was our only complaint of our experience. Everything was really good otherwise. The food, the drinks, the ambiance was a great combination and the perfect way to a...
