Southern Maid Donuts — Restaurant in Lewisville

It is unlikely to give a donut shop a 5-star review, but here is why.

I stopped here by chance after pulling into their parking lot to turn around and to get back on the highway.

There is a very nice Korean lady working the counter, who said that she was the owner. We chatted a bit. I sat for 20 minutes or so, and enjoyed my coffee and donuts.

I had to use the bathroom. I looked around, and there was no public restroom in this establishment. I thought about stepping back outside the building, maybe behind a dumpster, to pee. Instead, I politely asked if I may use the private restroom in the back. She obliged. Most stores will tell you they do not have a public restroom, even for customers. She was nice enough to take me to the back and let me use their private wash room. For that, I was extremely grateful. Oh, and the donuts were very tasty and the coffee served...

Best spot. Best owners of all time, kind polite generous .always fresh just got back from there even the icy roads couldn't stop me from going luckily they were open and waiting with a smile .. thank you both for being beautiful...

not the same as the southern maid donuts i grew up with... regardless of regulars i have not found one in the dfw area that compares to the west texas southern maid. I think these places need to take note on what other...
