Let me start off by saying this: I absolutely love the food that Dickie's provides and at such good prices. That being said: their "pit crew" is awful. I went in for lunch yesterday only to be greeted by an empty counter. There were only 2 tables there so I figured the employees were prepping (which is understandable). After waiting for several minutes, I turned to leave when the crew member (the only one) came walking out of the back and asked me whether I would like to eat there or get my food to-go. I replied that I would like to eat there when he looked at me and said, very bluntly, "Whadd'ya want?" I placed my order and then the gentleman began putting on his gloves in a very lackadaisical manner while staring out the window. After he FINALLY got his gloves on he proceeded to give me my order in the slowest form possible. For what should have been a two-minute interaction so I could get my food, eat, and then be on my way back to work took 10 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. As I'm eating, I hear the same gentleman that served me begin to complain to another customer in line that some patrons earlier in the day had commented about his attitude. I caught snippets of, "Well they shouldn't come here if they expect everyone to have a d* smile on their face" and "I'm not in a good mood, leave it alone." Extremely unprofessional. This crew member has also been one to say EXTREMELY polarizing things to customers in line with a full restaurant. Very politicially polarizing things (and I quote, "If Trump ever came on my lawn I would not hesitate to put a bullet in that man"). I get it, we all have opinions, but when I'm just trying to get some bbq and go back to work, I don't need to hear his tirades. I will NEVER be going back to this establishment again. So to sum up: food is great, but it's just such a shame that this restaurant is operated in this manner....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDickeys BBQ Pit yummy! I just by accident found this store opening soon and so called family members in Houston Tx for a report before I tried them. Since Louisville Ky has become such a foodie destination and there are some restaurants that already established 100 year reputations I needed some input, I got a good report. Went on to the grand opening today, it was very swamped. Was attended promptly hardly anytime passed got a menu , they have out of this world list of sides not to mention the meat is prepared on the premises smoked and? they Have Brisket!!!!! Also tried sides of green beans, potato casserole and bbq beans well yāall come is all I can say that and it was all delicious, I am going to have to go back cause I barely scratched the service of yum. Also I would like to say the service staff to the back of the kitchen was on a well oiled machine, happy faces, smiled on responding to questions. I felt very comfortable being guided on the menu. All in all was a very welcoming experience with the store and staff had it all under control. Reported all to Texas cousins. Finally some great Tex bbq, this is Diana Stoler pleased and stuff customer, Maybe I should have this instead of Turkey this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrendous experience. When I came in, I had no one in front of me and was not greeted. After five minutes, I was told, āit would be a minute.ā When I tried to order, I was belittled by William the manager for not understanding the menu. I asked for chicken and was told they didnāt have any ready. I told them I was willing to wait and was told, āwe donāt do that here.ā Once I checked out(with COLD FOOD), William the manager asked me if I was going to tip him. I have never been so insulted in my life regarding food service. But wait, it gets better. When I get home, I call the restaurant and ask for the manager, William tells me that itās him. I thanked him and hung up. A MINUTE LATER HE CALLS MY PHONE BACK. I didnāt answer. I call that number back and he answers and I asked him why he called my number. He said, āI wanna know who has a problem with me.ā So now, not only do I wish to never come back to this establishment, but I now have a personal grudge against one of your managers because he was having a bad day. I wanted to reach out to this because the higher ups must know about this. If I am not contacted about this, I will make sure to spread the word of William the...
