Indi's Chicken — Restaurant in Lexington

Ya know ? I was born and raised in Lexington, but I had never eaten at this little gem of a place before! I didn't get food there the other day, well, I did but it wasn't for me! Lol And another fun fact is that you can get a whole gallon of grape Kool- Aid there to take on home with ya ! My opinion other chicken probably doesn't even matter, I don't do spicy and alot of Indi's food has that extra "kick" that I dont agree with! The customers and the long lines wrapped around that little place tell the story here! It's very seldom that Indi's doesn't have a line of cars filing through the drive-thru. If you like authentic yummy goodness of "soul food" this is a good place to ome fir the fast food atmosphere. All orders are "to go" and they are pretty fast on getting you through the lines. EDIT: Finally tried the chicken. I don't know if it was sitting there for a long time in their trays, but it was greasy and soggy on the outside, tough on the inside, and a funky taste. Back to Ritchie's from now on, unless I have a hankering for peach or apple cobbler.

Every time I go there they are out of the type of chicken I want at the time, so I have given up. I never even got a chance to try any chicken, so I can't review that aspect. I thought this was a chicken place. It is back to Richie's from now on, and so far it is the best fried chicken I have had anywhere in the country, better than sit down restaurants. I am going to give Indi's two stars however, because I did get the Peach Cobbler and it was very good, better than Richie's; better taste and large pieces of peach and crust as opposed to Richie's more of a mushy...

I got 6 wings (mild) Small order of potato wedges (3) Small macaroni salad Order of okra Every item on my list was superb. With each bite it left my taste palette eagerly awaiting the next bite. Oh and I forgot to mention that I also got a dinner roll with my meal If you're not wanting wings then I'd strongly suggest the catfish dinner which can also be ordered as a sandwich, which I've never had so I can't give an honest comment about the bun on which it's served but I'm sure it's good too as this place doesn't serve bad food Advice: don't go here on an empty stomach without setting a limit on what you want to spend because once you see the menu you will be wanting to try everything!
