I was staying at the beautiful hotel adjacent to the cafe Friday night so walked over. Place was busy. Loved my Salmon Chowder soup. I ordered the Tuna. They asked me how I wanted it cooked and I replied medium. Came out well done and dry. Also needed salt which there was none at my table. Not one person came to my table the whole time I was eating to ask me how everything was. Had to walk up to another table to ask for salt. Waitress finally came around after I was done and I told her my tuna was overcooked and no one came around. I asked for the check and asked if there was a discount for the adjacent hotel. Waitress said she will bring up my complaint to manager and ask about a hotel discount. She came back and said no hotel discount and no mention of my food and gave me the check. No discount no sorry. First time in many years I only left approx 10 percent...

The only reason for 2 stars is the staff who were very friendly and attentive but that didn't make my meal any better. The salad was just so so, the only flavor was the feta cheese. I ordered the garlic shrimp and I was not to impressed with that as it was overcooked and a little rubbery. For my main course I ordered the 14oz ribeye cooked medium, well that was overcooked also, it do not have any flavor to it except for the charred areas on it and it was very dry and tough to eat. For the prices they are asking I would much rather go to Longhorn Steakhouse and get a much better appetizer, salad and most importantly an amazing steak. All for less money. I come to Columbia often for work and this was my first time trying this place, it will...

The food and service are great! Visited The Med again tonight - 6/2/23. They were BUSY! The food and service were still great! I have 8 to 10 favorites on the menu. Tonight was the ribeye special. Wow! When craving steak, I've been ordering the filet because it is sooo good. But geez, the ribeye deserves respect along with the salmon, tuna, lamb chops, and, last but not least, the broiled shrimp. The broiled shrimp is a dish you may not find anywhere else in the Columbia/Lexington area. I love it!! The aforementioned ribeye special came with mashed potatoes and collards, mmm. Anyway, when I leave The Med, I'm never hungry and usually thinking about what I'll order on the next visit. The staff members are very...

Such a bad experience I won’t even frequent for a repeat chance. We choose to eat outside. Huge mistake. So noisy with the 4 lane right there and flies were abundant. Couldn’t move inside because a dining companion refuses still to eat indoors due to COVID. Food was way subpar. The salad had uncored tomatoes with hard green cores and I had a 1” thick slice of cucumber which tells me there’s no attention to detail. My entree was salmon and came burned black. The server had to be visually impaired to bring that to the table. I sent it back and didn’t order anything else. My phone died before I could get a pic of my entrée unfortunately. The service was not friendly in any way.

I go to this place about once a month and I always get the tilapia and rice as my meal, which comes with a Greek salad, and baba ghanouj for an appetizer. It is served with warm pita bread points. It is all so delicious. I recently discovered their desserts are amazing as well! Try it out even if you THINK Mediterranean is a bit too exotic for you. You won't be disappointed. Update: just as good as ever! Below is the stuffed chicken (stuffed with feta and spinach), the tilapia and the baba ghanouj.

the food was fresh and delicious we follow a plant-based diet and they were able to accommodate with so much to choose from. I found out the chef brings veggies from his own garden and they were so delicious from the bruschetta to the grilled veggies to the baba ganoush and pita sandwich with a glass of wine at lunch time it couldn't have been more perfect I feel like this is a hidden gem I'm so glad we finally found it. highly recommend this spot
