Omg!! Where do I begin?! There is so many great things to say about this place and the staff that work here. Now I’m from New Jersey and yes I drove all the way from there to Lexington, KY with my mom as a mommy&me (daughter) trip which my dad also eventually joined in last minute haha. Even so, my mom and I always loved going to tea rooms in NJ and other states, but Olive’s Apron Bakery & Tea Room was the BEST hands down! I booked the tea brunch for 11:15am. It was very hard to keep it as a surprise for my mom but it was a very easy and smooth process and Ashley answered all my questions prior to me booking. Let me begin by saying, as soon as we parked, the house reminded me of the pink Barbie toy house my parents had bought for me as a little one. When we walked into Olive’s Apron Bakery & Tea Shop, the atmosphere was so welcoming and the wonderful scents of the fresh baked goods and tea just filled the room. The gorgeous walls filled with splashes of pink colors, butterflies, aprons, tea cups, classic vintage furnitures, and the pink chandeliers which consisted of small tea cups and butterflies surrounding it made me fill like I was a little girl (I’m 32 now). As we sat down, we found a list of amazing teas, and Julie who warmly welcomed us took the time to describe the various blends that each tea consists of. The owner Ashley even came by to allow us to smell one of the tea blends that we had chosen and all I can say is MY GOODNESS. We were also presented with scrumptious cucumber sandwiches; apple slices and goat cheese sandwiches; delicious chocolate brownies that literally melt in your mouth while also providing a long lasting burst of chocolate that remains on your palette for an additional 25-30 minutes after eating; caramel frosted cupcakes; lemon shortbread cookies; and lemon drizzled glazed blueberry scones that would put Starbucks and any other bakery you think you like to absolute shame (sorry, but not sorry because it is true). The unlimited tea options were out of this world and it was even more wonderful to know that everything there is from locally owned business that make it their goal to work together to make the community the way it is. Ashley, her mom, and Julie are wonderful, professional, humble, and so personable. They make you feel like you are a member of the family or longtime friends as soon as you walk through the doors. I’ve been several places and have travelled across country beginning in NJ then up to Boston, through the Southeast, some of the Midwest, and into California and trust me when I say that Olive’s Apron Bakery & Tea Shop is truly a gem. I urge you all from near and far to make your way down Olive’s Apron Bakery & Tea Shop because I know you won’t be disappointed. Ashley, stay encouraged and keep up the amazing work you are doing....

A friend of mine told me a while ago about this place, so I took my mom there for an afternoon treat. We had a massive overdose of cuteness, friendliness and delight! As soon as you enter, it’s like you’re in a doll house: every detail, every accent, every space seems to be thought for you to disconnect from the world while having a cup of tea -you can even pick the cup you want your drink poured on- and a sweet treat. They have a huge selection of tea; I had the sesame-caramel, which honestly wasn’t my favorite, so when I let them know it wasn’t my favorite, they kindly offered another flavor, but I already had too much coffee apple cake and was almost done with my first big cup of tea. Anyways, that’s definitely a great excuse to come back and try any flavor in their menu....

I went with some friends for a lunchtime tea party and we had a lot of fun! For about $35 each we got to choose our own flavor for tea (unlimited in whatever flavor you order) and a tower of treats including sandwiches, scone, cupcake, cookie, and more! The scone was the standout for me and it’s one of the best scones in town in my opinion. The house and the rooms are adorable. I tend to prefer my tea a little stronger, but the flavors were good. We each got different flavors and shared. The apple spice and vanilla bean were really good. If you are looking for something fun and different to do, you should...

We did the mid-tier afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. Olive’s Apron was the perfect place to host a party of 8; we had our own room, which was perfect with our family member who is hard of hearing. The chicken salad, cucumber, and goat cheese honey & apple sandwiches were delicious!! The scone melted in your mouth, cupcake was moist, and the rosemary shortbread cookie was to die for. We also loved the wide variety of teas and being able to try a different flavor of tea when we finished a pot. I can’t recommend Olive’s Apron enough. We will return for future tea parties and to just pop-by for a sweet treat to go.
