Upon entering this establishment I was immediately met with a good ambience that set my mood for a nice pie and beer. I was greeted by the hostess there (Jenny, she was very polite and prompt to get me seated quickly). I skimmed over the menu and my mind began running at 1000 miles per hour because EVERYTHING sounded good (Except for the grape and gorgonzola pie... why?) I decided on half street corn, half chicken gouda, and also got an appetizer of the Pizza skins.
The Pizza skins came out first, and I was blown away at how delectable they were. Cooked Perfectly and seasoned to perfection as well.
When the Pie came out I was speechless. It looked like a Pizza they would show in a commercial because of how pristine it looked. You could tell a lot of care went into making this pie, and that is something I really loved.
I tried a slice of the street corn first. I notice a variety of flavors coming off of this pizza, however the one thing that caught my eye the most was the flavor of lime mixed with the sauce they had covering it. (Waiter Jake said it was chipotle crema. Also Jake was Phenomenal and very helpful. 10/10 service. He struck up conversation with me about my High Quality Anime Tattoos.) The street corn I would give a 9.7/10. The chicken gouda was a good change of pace from the slightly spicy Street corn, as it was mild, but still had a kick to it. I would give it a 9.8/10.
The Bill came up to be about $48 (With Water to drink mind you) so I wouldn't say this is a good alternative to per say Dominos or Little Caesars...(it can hurt the bank). However if you have the income and the budget to sit down at Pies and Pints and go absolutely buck wild, you will leave with a Smile on your face and a smile in your tummy. None of the Alcohol really sounded like my pace, so I skipped on that, but they do have a wide selection of beverages.
Overall I give Pies and Pints a 9.2/10. My favorite part was how friendly everyone was, especially Hostess Jenny, as well as Jake the Waiter. Two great employees, and the Management should be proud to have them...
Read moreMy recent visit to Pints and Pies offered a blend of positives and areas needing improvement. Initially greeted by a chilly draft at the bar, we were quickly warmed by the bartender's friendly demeanor and expertise in both the beers and menu.
Our order included two appetizers – plain garlic bread and an intriguing item called 'Pizza Skins'. However, the timing of their arrival was a bit disjointed. The Pizza Skins, which were essentially a pizza with potato toppings, came out simultaneously with our pizza entrée. Surprisingly large for an appetizer, it was a bit overwhelming given its size and similarity to the main course pizza.
The garlic bread arrived separately, several minutes later, disrupting the flow of our meal. For our other entrée, a sandwich, the wait was considerable. When it did arrive, it was a letdown. The bun was overly toasted to the point of being hard, and the toppings were sparse. The side of chips appeared lackluster, mostly consisting of crumbled pieces rather than whole chips.
Overall, the kitchen's performance seemed lacking in care and attention to detail, which was a stark contrast to the excellent service provided by the bar staff. The uneven pacing of the meal and the lackluster presentation of the dishes were notable drawbacks.
In summary, while Pints and Pies has a welcoming atmosphere and a knowledgeable staff, there's a noticeable gap in the quality and execution of the food. The experience underscores the importance of consistency in both service and culinary execution to truly make a...
Read moreFrom the silent traveler to all of you. Be well. Be safe. Be yourself but respectful. I know it's been awhile. I have a lot to catch up on. But this place caught my eye as I was traveling. I always wanted to stop here. I'm glad I had opportunity and I'm glad it wasn't packed. With that being said, we still have the way for about 5 minutes to be waiting on to get a table. But they did acknowledge we were there and said they'll be with us. For a place not packed. I don't think we should have waited that long. But we had a great server. Nate took really good care of us. Explained everything on the menu. May wonderful suggestions. Therefore we got the half and half which you have to get in a large. It was so much we had to get a to-go box. As you can see in the pictures I got the classic. Andy Nashville Hot and my colleague got the chicken gouda and steak and mushrooms. Then we got some nice charred wings. The atmosphere is really good and relaxing, especially when it's not crowded gives you a chance to really take in and actually hear the person that you're conversating with. It was during lunch time and it was on a Saturday which again I thought it would be more people. But again, glad it was not. Plenty of options on the menu. Sorry I didn't get a picture of the menu, but overall really good place. Great to enjoy the company of others family time. Kids will love it. Highly recommend it. Again for me to you. Enjoy...
