PARTY HOTEL Stayed at hotel Sat July 13. Traveled to Lexington with wife and two kids for PGA event. Paid $775 total for one night of adjoining rooms includes taxes and new “clean energy assessment”. I am not one to complain, however, feel review is needed to warn other guests. Pay extra for adjoining room for this provides overall better sleep if one gets up to use bathroom or someone wants to watch TV a bit longer. At end of day, the function of a hotel is to provide space for hotel guests to sleep. The Manchester outdoor rooftop bar was having a Saturday party event. The DJ was blasting the music to the level the bass would vibrate the hotel room window. I tried the sleep app white noise on iphone and nothing would drown out the bass. My son fell right asleep, however, my daughter could not because of the DJ bass. I stayed up with her. As my father would always tell me, nothing good happens after midnight. Thus, I waited and figured The Manchester would have the party winding down at midnight. Midnight came and rooftop party was still going strong. No phone in room so I text at 12:07AM asking when rooftop DJ party ends. I receive “I’m sorry but the live music rooftop session is scheduled to end at 1:00AM.” At 1:00AM the party was still going strong. I text hotel again at 1:08AM to be informed, “I was just told that it is ending at 2AM instead of 1AM. They usually extend the time depending on how many people are up there. I truly am sorry that your stay is a bit unsetting. I think we may have earplugs here at the front desk.” I realize front desk clerk overnight is just punching clock and does not set policy or book these DJ and rooftop party events. The clerk did text me, “I will leave this situation with management so they can help.” Two days has past and I have yet to receive a text, email, or phone call from management to apologize. Folks be warned, this is a PARTY HOTEL. If you are young and looking for a place to party, this is your hotel. If you have kids or older looking for a place to SLEEP, I would look...
Read moreThis stay was a gift from my husband—my first night away since welcoming our newborn—and I truly cannot express how cared for, pampered, and completely spoiled I felt from the moment I arrived. It was everything I didn’t know I needed and more.
From the second I walked into the lobby, I was warmly welcomed by a gracious gentleman at the front desk who made check-in feel like a personal invitation rather than a transaction. The space itself exudes elegance and thoughtful design—modern yet inviting, with a warmth that immediately puts you at ease.
When I stepped into my room, I was greeted by the soft sounds of jazz drifting from the TV and an atmosphere that felt like a deep exhale. The décor was refined and calming—plush textures, rich tones, elegant touches, and a nod to the beautiful city of Lexington.
The shower deserves its own paragraph—truly heavenly. The water pressure was perfect, the temperature stayed exactly where I wanted it, and the selection of bath products felt indulgent and high-end, with scents that made me pause and savor the moment. Wrapping myself in one of their custom robes afterward was the final, perfect touch. Literally, kicking my feet in bed!
What I loved most was that this wasn’t a hotel you stay in because you need a place to sleep—it’s a hotel you experience. It invites you to slow down, sip something warm, sink into a chair, and simply be. Every detail is considered. Every corner whispers luxury.
The staff was exceptional throughout my entire stay—gracious, accommodating, and genuinely kind. It’s rare to feel so personally cared for in a hospitality setting, and yet The Manchester delivered that feeling effortlessly.
If you’re looking for a place to feel restored, seen, and spoiled in the best way, The Manchester is it. I left feeling like I had just experienced something truly special—and I can’t...
Read moreI really hate to leave a less than perfect review as I believe this establishment is top tier in quality. The rooms are incredibly cozy while elegant and I literally didn’t want to leave my room the moment I stepped in. I didn’t have any food but the to-go breakfast offered was quite yummy. More surprisingly, everything felt reasonably priced. $6 for a beer from the in-room bar is not highway robbery so I enjoyed a beverage from a hotel room for the first time in my life.
The only reason for my less than 5 star review is that I feel the parking situation for electric vehicle owners is not ideal. I am 100% okay with requiring valet parking. I am 100% okay with self parking. I am not, however, okay being charged $25 for valet parking then left feeling like an idiot when I asked that it be charged. It is my responsibility, apparently, to follow after the valet attendant and then plug the car in myself. How does this make any sense at all? If you offer electric vehicle charging and it cannot legally be plugged in by your staff, there must be a self parking option for electric vehicle drivers plain and simple. It is not fair to charge me to park my car then expect that I also attend to the car myself. It doesn’t make sense and, in a way, rips all patrons off equally. There is a $17 facility fee that this “free vehicle charging” is supposed to fall under and literally the only reason I booked at this hotel.
This doesn’t seem like a blatant grab for money as I don’t believe there are enough EV owners traveling here for it to be some scheme. I do think it needs to be re-thought how this parking system is...
