The Rosebud Bar — Restaurant in Lexington

I love this place. Went last night around 9:30 a bar tender I've never met before was working. He was completely drunk could barely stand up straight was spilling the drinks he was trying to make a complete mess. When it was my turn to buy drinks I ordered and handed him my card. I watched him slide my card 2 times. No big deal maybe the machine didn't read the card, however I can check from my phone and it showed charged twice. No big deal accidents happen. When I showed him I figured he would just offer it on the next round which would have been fine. No this man went completely crazy. His reply was, "no the Fk I didnt, those show pending, so you don't know what the fk your talking about. You don't trust me? F**k it I'm not serving you.. I said that's fine I'll call the bank and we will go somewhere else. I sat down with the group outside and called the bank. I watched the guy play with the computer inside for a couple of minutes. At this time bartenders I recognize were coming in which my sister explained to one the situation which they fixed as he did swipe my card twice maybe by accident. The crazy bartender switched over to security where he paced the outside patio (where we were sitting) mean mugging us the entire time. It was awkward and very uncomfortable. I love this place and have gone sense turning 21 oshay the older bar tender has always been rude to me and refused to serve me after serving me multiple times before he refused to check if my id was real by pulling out a black light or using one of the machines and we had not had a drink so there was no reason for him to refuse my id is real and he’s done this multiple times before every other bartender there is amazing except him I did not have my card so double identification was impossible I just brought out cash and Apple Pay and my friend had double identification and refused to serve her it was ridiculous and he’s served me multiple times but picks and chooses when he feels like it it’s not good bartending ethics and he needs to get off his high horse and be told...

What can I say about The Rosebud? As a visiting UGA fan on a weekend when Kentucky lost the football game, this bar was over the top welcoming to my party of 6. It's not everyday you can walk into a bar in an opposing team's town and feel so at home. Scotty, our bartender, was absolutely fantastic. Never had to wait for a drink, put us on a great pizza delivery place that we ate in the bar, and kept giving us change to pump the jukebox. I would recommend this place to any local person in Lexington, but also any traveler wanting to stop in for a cold beer. Nothing but great things to say about...
