QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Lexington

DO NOT ORDER CATERING FROM THIS RESTAURANT!

We ordered "Hot Bar" for 15 people for my daughter's birthday party. My husband picked up the order and brought it home. When I unpacked the food, There was very little food at first glance. Each container had a weight listed on it for how much food should be inside. For 15 people, it listed 1.7 pounds of beef, and 2.1 pounds of chicken (which would give each person 1/4 of a pound of meat. This is half of what most catering companies allot per person) I initially called stating that it looked like not enough food, but the manager insisted everything had been weighed out correctly. After hanging up, I weighed the chicken and the beef, and both items were at least a half pound less than labeled, and the rice and beans were only half of what was labeled. I called back, and the manager insisted it was correct, but did agree to provide more. I returned to the store and picked up more chicken and beef only, but the other two were not adjusted.

I do NOT recommend using this company for catering in the future. Chipotle has double to serving size for catering and is much friendlier and helpful. It would have been cheaper and more food if we had ordered individual...

QDOBA is and had always be my second choice for Mexican food. However, due to Covid many businesses had been really hurt. If you a fan of Chef Ramsey on Kitchen Nightmare, you have a good understanding the lengh a "restaurant" would go through just to save their spoiling food in order to avoid waste. Wendy's was one of the few who were selling bad burgers. And thus, everyone has followed. For starters, it took about 45 mins to almost an hour to get the food. On top of that, the food was icy cold, the pork taco was mushy, and the meat was salty and rock solid. When heated up, it all fell apart and a foul smell took over the kitchen; the meat is completely spoiled. Like any customer, I called the store and asked the manager not to sell the pork because of the foul odor. Her answer was "it's suppose to smell like this" and continued to argue that it was ok. My disappointment was not the money that I wasted, it was the fact that she was determined to continue on serving the food. I was really disappointed with my order today. I ordered 3 bowls (1 veggie and 2 chicken), and both chicken bowls had very little quantity compared to what they usually serve. They gave me the last scraps of rice which was not even enough for a proper portion. We pay the price for chicken but doesn’t look like they give the correct quantity at least not today with both my bowls. For guacamole, they also gave me from the last bit (almost just the left over not even half a scoop) instead of serving from the fresh batch they brought out right after, which felt very unfair since I was still paying full price.

The quality and portion size today did not match the standard I expect, especially for the price. Hopefully management can improve consistency so that all customers get fresh and...
