I wanted to love Revival. Great location (former Starbucks), very appealing looks, indoor/outdoor in the summer, fast and friendly service, great vibe.
Unfortunately this is where good things end. Revival is not a good spot for a lunch. We gave this place a solid chance at this point -about 10 visits since they first opened. My honest opinion — don’t go out of your way for this especially if you’re looking for lunch.
We do not eat bread. The place has 2 lunch options without bread: a Caesar salad and another salad. The remaining 14-16 options are bread, bread, and more bread. While we appreciate ‘the other seasonal salad’ (it changes) it is not tasty most of the time. The salads are flavorless and disappointing for the price.
Despite loving the wine and the service we basically stopped coming. We want you to succeed - work on making your menu more inclusive and flavorful. Tate has moved in - pay attention, please - you’ve got...
Read moreIt was crazy busy and tiny quarters so I ordered what I thought would be a grab and go item: the featured bagel. Not cut. Nothing on it. It was $5 and some change!
Just the pesto and pepper bagel.
Then, no one handed it me. I stood there blocking traffic for nearly 15 min, my anxiety going crazy, before I asked for what I had assumed would be handed to me seconds after ordering (like a cookie, or pastry).
Someone went to the back and got it and came back. I walked out. Opened what they had given me. This $5 bagel (which I would never had purchased if I had known the price, that’s beyond insanely expensive) was precut. The ONE directive I had given, ignored. I had specifically asked for JUST the bagel. Not cut. Nothing on it. Now, even if I liked it, I can’t save it for tomorrow. $5 literally in the trash.
Really...
Read moreGood decoration but way too loud. I kept having to repeat myself to the cashier and asking the cashier to repeat themselves. Tried to modify a sandwich but ended up getting the unmodified version, but I'm not clear if they don't do modifications or if they just couldn't hear me. Service was good otherwise but it's very hard to order when it's too loud to hear. Also a pretty small space so limited seating, what they really need is sound dampening stuff. Food menu is a little hard to parse, the font is a lot. Also not clear on if modifications are available and at what price. The sweet potato bread is good, I had a grilled cheese and I wanted to add ham but it was confusing and didn't make it onto the sandwich. Baked goods are all labeled and are easier...
