Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Lexington

Worst customer service. Not necessarily people at the location specifically. But due to an error at location with an online order, tried to call customer service to get corrected. Had ordered and was charged for bacon, instead of adding bacon, onion was added, which completely ruined the taste of the burger. Wasn’t going to be eaten. I had gotten home when I realized, and after Being gone for 18 hours today and needing to be up in the morning as well I didn’t have it in me to go back to the location. Called customer service to see if I couldn’t get refunded for the burger that was not going to be eaten because of the onion, if I could at least be refunded for the bacon which was paid for and was not received. Could provide photo evidence if needed. But she said she is unfortunately not allowed to give a partial refund. And could not process a refund for me. Instead offered me a five dollar gift card. Which yes, is valued more than what I was asking for, but I go to Sonic like twice a year and did not plan to be back anytime soon. I don’t ask for anything be refunded often. Unless for whatever reason in order is not fulfilled. But having worked in many restaurants and retail, I’ve never heard of not being able to do a partial refund for something that was not received. If that is accurate, major system, flaw by Sonic. Also, the fact that it took 17 minutes on the phone to get that answer was just the icing on the cake. 17 minutes to determine that they could not refund $1.70. Crazy. I feel like if I would have gone there, this location specifically would have remade it to make it right. But with it not being right originally, and the fact that I was already home, and the fact that it was after 11 That option didn’t seem to make much...

I got the garlic burger combo & my Mom got the chili cheese hotdog combo. My burger was so dry that I could only eat a few bites & that was after removing the bottom part of the bun ( I was hoping it wouldn't taste so dry)! My Mom's hotdog was a hot mess!! It looked like a convenience store chili cheese dog a child made. There was NO way to pick it up to eat it w/o the chili/cheese running off & dripping everywhere on everything. She had to use a fork to try to eat it. Mom only ate a few bites as well. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because of the lovely young lady who took our order & she brought it to our table. She was smiling, polite, patient, & gave us great customer service.

UPDATE- Just wanted, in ALL fairness, to add here that someone from Sonic did try to reach out to me after I posted my review. But my OWN personal policy made me NOT reach out to them. And if you read all this & are still curious about my OWN policy...HERE it is......if you let it leave the kitchen that way, serve it to me that way. & I review that way.....you LOST my business the VERY minute you let it leave the kitchen. Went to the Sonic on March 1 around 4:30 PM. I ordered two number fives which is the bacon supersonic ordered them plain with just meat, bacon and cheese. Shouldn’t be too hard of an order to complete and it was handed out the window very quickly which kind of made me a little suspicious at first, but I thought nothing of it. I get all the way home and open both the burgers up to them just being literally plain no cheese no bacon just two meat patties in a bun I’ve worked at Sonic that was always a part-time job of mine. Did it for eight years and every time anybody ever ordered a number five plane it always came with bacon and cheese. Why would I pay the extra amount of money for two number five if I just wanted two plain supers with no cheese. So I have to go all the way back up there watch the lady that was handling the situation. Tell the Cook that I ordered something plain like this is supposed to come with bacon and cheese.
