Canal Coffeeāa family owned businessālocated in Lexington South Carolina, recently opened its doors to the public on February 8th. They offer hot/ice/frozen coffee, lattes, teas, protein drinks, energy drinks, refreshers, matcha, hot chocolate (hot or frozen) smoothies, milkshakes, sweet treats, breakfast and lunch items, and offers kid drinks. Canal Coffee is open Monday through Friday from 5am-7pm, and on the weekend 6:30am-7pm so one can enjoy all day. I would say their prices are in the medium, but their drinks sizes are huge compared to some of their competitors (Starbucks). Their prices range from $2.89 to $7.29 for their drinks and their food and pastry items range from $2.49 to $7.59. Like most coffee places these days Canal is a drive thru only, but also has a window where you can stand up and order. They do offer some tablesāunder a canopy with umbrellasā that are spotless, for those who want to enjoy a nice day. I love that Canal has dog bags for your little furry friends, so they can enjoy stretching their legs. My family and I ordered through the window and were greeted with a friendly and energetic young man, who was eager to assist us. We ordered two sugar-free below 30 drinks, and a mango smoothie. One aspect of Canal I like is that they can make any of their drinks sugar-free, but you have to ask for it. My wife and daughter enjoyed their drinks, but for me the mango tasted more like an orange. In addition to Canal Coffee company they also have an app that one can download that offers mobile order/pick up and a rewards program. I love that Canal does a ton of specials throughout the week depending on their locationā20% off food items, 50% off iced/hot drinks on the weekend, special drinks for holidays. I would definitely recommend joining the rewards program, because you receive a free drink of any size when signing up, a free drink on your birthday, and special offers. The next time you need a pick me up or just want to get a bite to eat, I would recommend checking out Canal Coffee on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington South Carolina when you are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped in at Canal Coffee in Lexington for the first time. I ordered a cold brew house coffee and it was okay, but I really wish they offered a dark roast option instead of only medium. For a coffee shop, I would expect a wider variety of roast types.
I originally tried to order a regular medium roast hot coffee, but was told the button did not work, so they could not sell me one. That meant I had to go with cold brew instead.
The breakfast sandwich I had was good. However, the rest of our group had a harder time as the shop was out of several menu items, including Americano and sweet tea for the little one with us.
There were also only a handful of parking spots and most of them were taken up by employees, leaving little to no room for customers.
Service felt a bit flustered and unorganized. I hope this was just an off day because the place has potential with better variety, consistency, and parking...

Emily is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with a recommendation if you're unsure of what to try. The coffee itself is fantasticārich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed.
