The worst experience I have ever had for a restaurant/fast food in my entire life. Manager (African American) was helping on the burger line was the worst ever. He was very unprofessional, rude, nonchalant, excuse making, thought more of himself, not the customers, disrespectful, talk about you to other customers, straight out did not care and tried to intimidate me to the fullest, bullying type of person I have ever seen in a management position today.
Timeliness did not matter to him, customers were no concern, and on and on and on. It is so much more to tell; this experience is going further. We have never placed anything online negative on individuals due to not wanting to damage the character or business of anyone. No one should be treated as if they do not exist, etc as a customer for steak and shake. Customers should, be treated with respect, dignity, attention and acknowledge the fact they are there for service. If it was not for the customers, steak and shake would not exist today.
What I saw and experienced was not from a professional standpoint of a manager or the management team, but of a very unprofessional, negative attitude, and ghetto fabulous type of individual! It was down right shameful for the guy to be called a manager at steak and shake, totally an embarrassment to the owner of this establishment!
Anytime you have to ask for service after two 15 minute intervals (totalling 30 mins) of trying to get someone's attention to take your order, and the manager states the customer is being rude to another customer, it is a problem. There are clearly some issues at this location.
I will never return to this place again, even if it was the only one existing on earth........
Notes:
Did not see the name/tag of this manager on duty to call him by name or I would.
I am not perfect and take responsibility for my own actions. We allow a higher source to handle issues beyond our control, this one is one of those times. We the public customer cannot just let it go and accept anything......
**Steak and shake, please, help this manager and this facility to be better for their workers and their customers--all...
Read moreThis Steak'n Shake is pretty much like others we have visited, maybe a little bit better than some, except for the restroom.
The service we received was satisfactory but only one server appeared to be doing the work of several people and others were not doing much. There were empty tables and booths after we were seated, yet people were standing at the entrance waiting to be seated.
We visited a little after 10:00pm on a Saturday night. They were reasonably busy but had a number of available tables and booths when we arrived, some of which had not been cleared after the previous party had finished.
One server appeared to be frantically trying to serve more tables than one person could handle. The people preparing the food appeared to have their part if the operation under control. Several other employees appeared to be doing little productive work.
We stood and waited for about two minutes before being greeted, then were offered a table.
Once we were seated, another minute or two passed before a young lady took beverage requests.. The drinks (water) were brought to the table promptly, and we attempted to order food. The young lady explained that she couldn't take our orders but would send someone who could.
About five more minutes passed before a server took our orders. Our food was served correctly about ten minutes therafter.
Our experience was a little better than a typical Steak'n Shake visit and the food was hot, fresh and of good quality.
I would rate three stars but for the condition of the restroom. The odor was unacceptable and the urinal didn't flush. There was a substantial puddle of partially dried urine on the floor beneath the urinal. The floor was stained and sticky underfoot, indicating that this condition was not of recent origin. The soap dispenser didn't work and the wash...

As we waited a couple came in and saw how busy it was and said “it’s ok hopefully they see it’s us and we can grab a seat”. Then the server Savannah, walks up to me and my family, looks me up and down, rolls her eyes and looks me in the face and says “3?” I responded back “no 5 but...” and then she cuts me off and tells me we have to wait because she doesn’t have a table (as if we hadn’t been doing that) take the couple that came in and gets them seats, and drinks. Before I could eve say “well we’re fine with a booth and a high chair”. Completely ignored us and the 30 other people who waited before that couple came in. And I’m normally not one to complain about the service at a restaurant especially on such a busy day. But this is one time I will, Savannah not only ruined my dinner with her stank attitude. But I’m sure the other guest who waited and had to deal with her stank attitude can agree when I say, if you don’t like your job, find a new one. Savannah not only ignored me and my family, but refused to seat us at a booth instead of a table so another server gladly took us, got us seats and apologized for how rude Savannah was. I understand that this is not an easy job, but you’re attitude all determe how you are treated by guest. Our server was excellent, and I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her for making the experience better. But because of the way we where treated by Savannah,we will no longer be eating at this location. And I have called to speak with a supervisors so I can inform them of how awful me and my family was treated by Savannah but have yet to get an answer, as in, no one...
