My daughter and I decided to try this place for the first time. We are still fairly new to the area and still in search for our go to coffee house. We had some shopping to do in uptown so we parked there and walked down center to check them out. Positives: They had outdoor seating that was covered under a tent. Small parking lot but for Saturday around noon it was pretty empty. The inside was very cute and the decor was classic coffee house. Plenty of seating. They do serve breakfast items here but we didn't order any food so I cannot review that. Very clean and their sanitation rating was 99. The customer service was not bad the cashier was friendly. The negatives: As much as I wanted so badly for this coffee place to be "the one", sadly it was not. At least our first impression was disappointing. I ordered a small mocha frappe which tasted good but sadly all I tasted was chocolate. It was lacking the coffee taste. The presentation was good (picture included). My daughter ordered a large iced vanilla latte. She took a sip and said "nope!". Despite looking right in appearance it tasted like strong Expresso. She told me that if she wanted Expresso, she would have ordered it that way. I took a sip just to see if she was perhaps exaggerating because she does tend to like her drinks a little sweeter than I like mine but wow, she was definitely not exaggerating. It was even strong for my taste and I usually drink black coffee! Unfortunately we will not be coming back anytime soon. It's a little out of the way which we wouldn't have mind so much if we had a better...
Read moreThe coffee was delicious! I ordered a Queen Bee Iced Latte, and it was so good, I will be going back for another soon. My sister got an iced caramel macchiato which I also tasted, and the coffee flavors came through with a sweet caramel boost.
The only reason this isn't a five star review is because of the Belgian waffles. My niece ordered a chocolate chip waffle and the flavor was okay. They forgot the whipped cream, not a big deal since she didn't need all the extra sugar anyways. However halfway through the waffle she was crying and panicking. She thought she'd broken her tooth which she recently got work done on, she's only five years old and this incident scared her so much that she didn't want to finish the waffle or her smoothie. I took the waffles in and the cashier was kind, and reassured me that the hard substance in it was sugar pearls. Even so, don't order these particular waffles unless you're aware they have hard, sharp white sugar rocks inside them. They were NOT pearl shaped and at first we thought it was some type of plastic at first that...
Read moreWe went through the drive thru on our way home because we didn’t get enough to eat after spending $40. Our drinks were fine. They could benefit from training someone to make a proper latte. My husband’s sandwich was fine, but the waffles need A LOT of help. For a full waffle, I was expecting a big, round, fluffy waffle. This waffle wasn’t nearly a “whole” waffle. For $11, I felt robbed. It was so tough and thick that I needed a knife to cut it apart. It was chewy and bland, even with all the toppings. I ordered scrambled eggs as well, and couldn’t stomach them. I wish they would tell people that the scrambled eggs aren’t fresh. I’m not sure if they’re powdered or what, but they were definitely not fresh. The staff was kind, and I loved the atmosphere. Maybe I caught them on the wrong day, but I’m not sure I want to go back. Fresh ingredients and quality control are necessary, especially at this...
