Our experience dining at Grey Goose tonight was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had in my life, and certainly the worst service I've had in the city of Lexington.

We arrived at Grey Goose on a Sunday night at 6:30pm. Restaurant was not particularly crowded and there were tons of open tables. We were a group of 6 and we ordered at 6:45pm. I counted 8 tables and 2 people on wait staff in the area where we were. By around 7:20pm the waiter came out and said that the food had been delayed. At 7:30pm, food came out for 3 of the 6 people in our party. Another 5 minutes passed, and food came out for a 4th person in our party. Waiter said the last 2 meals (salads! quickest item to make!) would be out soon. Another 10 minutes passed, and still only 4 of the 6 people in our party had their food. Trying not to be rude, I was waiting to eat mine until everyone at the table was served. Another guest at the table let his steak get cold since he was trying not to be rude. Still no food. I got up and complained to the host who didn't seem too concerned, but did eventually come over and check which salads were ordered.

Eventually, the remaining 2 orders finally came out. When the salads came out, we had to ask for drink refills because nobody had checked in on our drinks in a good 20 minutes. Again: the place was not even crowded.

The waiter said that the salads were on the house. However, the 4 people who sat and let their food get cold had to pay for their meals in full. This was not handled well--the restaurant should have taken a percentage off of the bill for everyone, as we all suffered the expense of the poor service. The waiter did apologize for the slowness but it wasn't much of an apology, and Grey Goose really should have provided more of a discount and/or had a manager type of person come apologize to us face to face. I would have complained about the bill situation but we were dining with my wife's boss and I was trying very hard not to make a scene in front of him.

When the waiter brought the checks back after we paid, he cockily said, "We hope you come back and see us. Hope I didn't scare you off," and laughed.

Overall, a dreadful service experience. I do not recommend dining at Grey Goose, especially not on a Sunday night. I really hope that the owner and/or manager read this review: you need to treat your...

Met up with a bunch of friends from three different states for The Steel Woods concert on October 28th. I communicated with the restaurant a month prior to make arrangements and we ended up with 13 total. The Goose was able to seat us all at the same table, we had plenty of room, very comfortable, and we were able to sit and laugh and catch up over dinner and drinks before the show! The food was great! So much to choose from and such an eclectic menu, everyone had a hard time deciding what to get! We shared appetizers and entrees. Highly recommend the Meat-Tastic pizza, paired with a side of pesto for crust dipping, it was sooo good! The Herb roasted chicken with potatoes and brussel sprouts, mmm...chicken was very moist and well seasoned. It was a hit with the whole table! The tomato basil bisque and cheesy cauliflower puree soups were also very popular, as well as the shrimp and grits! Our server, Sherry, was awesome, friendly and outgoing and she did not seem intimidated at all by our large group. She kept our orders straight, and our glasses filled! Every person in our group said they would...

I went to what used to be the Grey Goose last night for the first time in a very long time. This restaurant used to be one of my favorites. I love their large patio and the service used to be amazing. The patio is still great but the service has gone way downhill. We were seated promptly, but then we sat for about 15 minutes until I had to flag someone down to take our drink orders. We saw how this was going to go so we ordered food quickly along with our drinks. Food came quickly but it was average at best. Fries were good, but that's about it. My daughter ordered a drink and she really liked it so she ordered another one. We waited 30 minutes and the drink never came. The waitress realized what was going on and went to check on it. She came back and said they were still working on it. We waited a little longer and finally said, cancel the order. We gotta go. Just very disappointed as this used to be my go to spot. I wonder if maybe the owner/management has changed hands. Anyway, I hope they get their...

I cannot believe we didn’t find this place sooner!! Husband found it by just looking restaurants we had not been yet, and people… I can’t be any happier about it. It looks like a small place, but it actually had two rooms and a patio. Service was prompt, friendly and food… oh man!!! Food was S U P E R B!! I ordered the herb roasted chicken with roasted potatoes and cole slaw, and hubby ordered the Hawaiian pizza and trust me, although my chicken was great, I gave it up and had two slices of his pizza. You can tell the that it is definitely had crafted, with quality ingredients, perfectly baked. If you follow me, you know I don’t have a lot (if any) reviews of pizza places, as I’m not a pizza lover, but let me tell you: I’ll be back for pizza. I promise. If you happen to be in Lexington, you cannot miss this place!! P.s. Husband is awfully hard to impress when it is about food… and he said he was more than satisfied to have found The Goose… and he’s been at the food business for over 30 years!

Leaving Lexington after two years and sadly found this restaurant the night before we left. Set in the background on the enclosed patio weather by the cozy fireplace. I had the veggie burger with a side of fried spinach. I like all kinds of vegetables but I have never had fried spinach and I suggest you try it! It was so light and fluffy it almost melts in your mouth. Boyfriend had the cheeseburger and said it was great. Very friendly staff. The bar is fun in the front of the restaurant but was a little too brightly lit for us so we sat in the back. The games were on tvs all over the place, so it was a perfect setting for me to have my warm fireplace and my boyfriend to be able to watch the game. If you don’t like TVs when you eat, this is not the place for you. Laid-back cozy atmosphere. Good for meet up with friends or a casual first date.

A++ neighborhood and bar. Perfect place to spend a weeknight or weekend afternoon with a pal or several. The Goose is Loose is delicious! A dirty martini that is shaken just right. The staff is lovely. They joked with me and my friends all night and gave excellent service throughout our dining experience. Would highly recommend if you're looking for great drinks and slightly elevated food that isn't too expensive. And try the farro slaw!
