Villainous — Restaurant in Lexington

My first time here was on 10/08/2022, with a group. I absolutely love this place!

Pros:

It has a great atmosphere and I love the décor. The employees working that night were super friendly. I felt very comfortable and welcome here.

The food is fantastic, and it is more than reasonably priced. Great selection of alcohol, and even really unique mixed drinks you won't find anywhere else in Lexington.

The tables for gaming are awesome! They have little cubby holes to put your drinks in, so that nobody accidentally tipped their drinks over onto the boardgame we were playing.

They allow you to borrow board games for free! I got to try out a few games I have never played.

Cons:

The only downsides are that there is no dedicated parking. You have to find parking in the street. The day we went, a nearby business had an event and I wound up parking nearly half a mile away.

The building is a little cramped, especially when there's a lot of people. If you don't reserve a table beforehand or get there early, you're not going to be able to sit at the bar or play a game on one of the larger tables. I really hope they make so much money they can move into a bigger building, if that's what they so desire.

Chill atmosphere at the bar. Magic potions seem expensive at $12 but since it makes 2-3 drinks worth it’s a great value. I was super happy to see them as a non-alcoholic option, places need more of these for those that struggle but want a social watering hole.

Didnt play any games this trip but they had a large number of options with popular board games.

Smashburger and Mozzarella sticks were really good. Didn’t happen to take photographs of those items. Flavors were strong and filling.

Kentucky Prepper was a fun mix of Jim Beam and Ale8. You get to choose how much you mix of one or the other. Great drink. Goes along great again with the chill atmosphere.

If you have concerns about someone standing behind you, just know, Dr.Doom stands guard at the right end of the bar and is 7ft tall. You’ll catch him out the corner of your eye from time to time. As with everything the Doc is chill and just...

I came to KY for a work trip and wanted to check out this place on my own for its creative drinks and fun atmosphere. It was nothing short of what I expected. The staff Mickey and Jack were very welcoming and I had awesome conversations with them. One even showed me his unique watch collection. I am definitely inspired to nerd out more since visiting this place. I enjoyed my visit so much that I bought a t shirt to rep them wherever else I go! Thank you Villainous staff for all the laughs and stories! 🫶 To future customers - if you are one to want to sit down and play board games with someone then definitely bring a friend!
