General Staff Temperament - 1/5 Staff Job Difficulty - 5/5 (I understand they put up with BS, I have worked in the industry myself - their level being more intense, Iâd imagine.)
How I feel as a 24-Yr Old rating a Downtown Bar after a night out - 0/5 - But, it was that bad.
Purchased drink number #1,000,047 from Wildcat Saloon last night. Double Vodka Soda. After taking a sip of the drink, I noticed there wasnât any alcohol in it. (2nd drink of the night).
Asked the bartender about it, noticed she was a new face there, probably 2-3 months in, congratulations to her. Great gig bringing in the tips and all. - She told me that she âmixes it better than the other bars that I probably go to? Like tin roof and two keys, and thatâs why I didnât taste it.â Took her at her word and sat on the drink for a bit, making sure I didnât drink more than 4/5 of it, just in case I wanted to get it remade.
Went to someone else and they brought all the bartenders together and called over a bouncer because I was causing a problem apparently. Paid $8-$10 for a drink and thatâs what you get. You can be a professional mixologist and a vodka soda is going to taste like a vodka soda.
âWe do not make any drinks here without alcohol.â âWhat do you want me to do about it?â My approach was textbook asking questions about the process and then showing them my drink. I even asked to see if they could remake it, and he said âDude, come on, Iâm not going to add alcohol to your drink.â ........
Spent my undergrad and after-grad going here, but best believe this ruined the place for me. Iâll try to chalk it off to a rough night for them, but this apparently happens to people all the time.
Left a 4/5 full drink on the bar to show them that is really serves me a lot of purpose right now to complain about a drink that I have barely touched. What have I gained? Lol. Long night for them I can imagine, but a one size fits all approach gets them the reputation they have at the bar. - BTW Doesnât apply to my girl Hannah....
Read moreIâm 24 and the bouncer claimed my real ID was not me. After reciting my last name, address, and offering up a second form (my debit card) and still being questioned, I simply asked for my ID back and said I would go elsewhere. They said unless I could provide a second form with a photo, I would not be allowed in. I said I would just leave and he laughed, put my ID in his pocket, and walked off. I had to find a police officer to retrieve it back for me and confirm it was real and mine. Didnât even get an appology from the two bouncers I dealt with. Police said that happens all of the time there, definitely donât...
Read moreHas the worst bouncer in Lexington. She wasn't sitting in the entrance and when I walked in, she berated me telling me to show her my ID even though I had it out and ready but didn't see anyone to give it to. She kept looking up and down at it at least 5 times and said that she doesn't even have to let me in. If I was the manager, I would fire her, and I don't say...
