Alejandra's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Leyden Township

It was my favorite restaurant but It changed a lot not just the service but the flavor is used to order the Alondra special the asada delicios with a lot of flavor and season i went for my birthday and after eating and the service I dint even ask for a pice of cake so my family can sing to me ... they charge the tip in front and they considered a mom a dad and 3 kids is a family party well I respect that ... I wasn't planed to give that much tip cos the service was pour ... the waitress just have 2 tables my family and the table across de room ... we have to call her 2 times cos she dint went to see if everything was OK she was to busy on her phone 🙄... and then she bring the burrito diner for my husband and he noticed there is no salsa on the plate ... who eats a burrito with no salsa? ... and then he call the waitress and ask for salsa and she just say the green salsa is hot and he say wathever I want some salsa then I notices that she charge extra for the flavorless salsa 🙄🙄🙄 omg my son get sick the next day it was a horrible birthday I ask her for my recipt but she dint give it to me and take so long to bring the change incomplete she keep the change and dont give us the resipt she put the thing on the table and initially turn and start talking with someone that walks in ... it was the worst experience ever and I want to go celebrate somewhere else know cos that one doesn't count ... dont get me wrong wen I get good or exelent service I tip 30 percent some times more ... I am not cheep but never ever going back there ... if you fired the chef go get him back cos this one has no sense of flavor and you used to be a great...

I am beyond disappointed in Alejandra’s ! My family has been going to Alejandra’s for years, dining, drinks and many family parties thrown there. (Before I explain this terrible experience, I do want to say our waitress was very kind and attentive.)

We purchased the Groupon that was available, read the fine print and the only restrictions were to use the Groupon before 10pm and only 1 per person, per table. Understandable. When we asked to apply the Groupon we were told we were unable to use it due to their Wednesday night specials. Again this was not written anywhere on the Groupon as a restriction! The “manager” MARTIN was extremely rude and disrespectful. He would not let us get a word in and instead of trying to work something out he sat there arguing with an attitude. When we asked to speak to the owner he explained he was in charge & there was nothing he could do to help us. After about 10 minuets of arguing and being rude he finally got the owners “wife” and she as well had an attitude and argued with us before finally agreeing to apply the Groupon to the non special iteams (which we had asked for since the beginning!!!) Moral of the story is all of this could have been avoided if the customers voices were heard! I used to come here when they first open and the food was delicious! We came again in the summer of 2022 and I ordered the fish tacos with rice and beans a few bites in and i found a hair in my taco so I sent it back. The tacos had a cabbage slaw that you can really taste it was pre made and a couple days old since it was soggy and not crunchy. Today we decided to stop by for a quick dinner. All our entrees came with rice and beans and all were sour. We sent them back. My hubby had the alejandras special wich was good, i had the mar y tierra which was less than average, my son asked for the Torra chori-loui and we requested for no beans since my son has an allergy the waiter asked if he wanted to substitute for extra rice in the torta instead but we asked if it had peas which it does so we denied since he is also allergic to peas and other legumes. My brother in law had the parrillada which was also average . But the real thing that cringed me was the Spoiled bean and rice.
