It’s my wife’s birthday today and she was gifted a gift card from my mom to eat here. We arrived and Melissa was our waiter, she was amazing. She made sure we understood the menu and was attentive to our table the whole time. The downside was when we checked out. I placed the gift card which was to have $50 dollars in it as well as my credit card. 10 minutes later Melissa came back to explain that the gift card had not value to it. We understood and paid with the credit card. I called my mother who then explained she had the gift card receipt. I asked Melissa what could we do to make sure we would figure out where the funds had gone and she explained she would reach out to her manager. We sat and waited until this young girl walked up to our table and had a receipt in her hand for a purchase of a gift card that was bought over the weekend, she cross referenced the numbers and indeed it matched. She explained she would void the transaction and bring the new total. She eventually brought out the new total and left it at our table with a charge of the remaining amount, leaving us confused whether she had already charged the new amount or not. As we towards the register we asked the young lady again about how the tip would work as we had left it on the previous receipt when a gentleman (not sure if he was the manager) voiced that my refund is already issued and to check my phone and see that it’s there, assuming that maybe we were questioning the refund? Not sure but it came off rude. Almost as if we were doing too much when we had done nothing wrong. Melissa was great, the staff at the front counter definitely need to work on customer service. Bad impression of leadership or any type of good customer experience by any of the managers. Won’t be coming back. Keep doing...
Read moreThe place is clean and fairly quiet. The foods (seafood) we ate were good and the fried chicken basket was ok. For appetisers we tried the crabby deviled eggs, French fries (not just plain) & onion rings...oh also the fried pickles. The onion rings were quite good. The batter had a slightly sweet hint. The fries had like an old bay seasoning and some type of aioli. The fried pickles were spears not rounds...BE CAREFUL they will be boiling hot inside when they are first brought to the table. Not a table favorite...should be rounds rather than spears. The deviled crabby eggs were awesome; the table favorite (of the appetisers. Main courses: Our table had mostly create your own Boils....1 person had the pasta (said was good), another had scallops also good. They are served with corn and red potatoes. Note: all red potatoes served were a bit under done for all of us. Not raw but definitely just barely on the done meter. The corn on the cob was very good. Also a VERY IMPORTANT note....there are no special utensils to Crack the crab claws. You are given a fork, a bucket for shells, and a plate. Also a little packet that contains a pair of gloves and an apron. They really need to add utensils to Crack the claws more effectively. Next important note: alcoholic beverages were very small and not that great...would not have cocktails again. Beer was fine. Lastly, 2 in our group had the chocolate cake and not a crumb was left behind so must have been very good. Another note, they do not have coffee so don't expect coffee with your dessert. All and all, we all enjoyed the seafood...if you like spice make sure to order up on the spice level or you may think it not spicy enough. I ordered garlic butter no spice at all and was...
Read moreWe have seen this restaurant several times because we go to Cinemark to go to the movies and it's right outside of the theater. The name used to make us laugh because it didn't sound like a crab boil with a French name went together. We could not have been more wrong. We had a taste for crab boil so we decided to give this place a shot. We felt like we struck gold. Walking in, we immediately noticed the place is spotless. Extremely clean. It smells fantastic and made our stomachs growl. It's very well decorated without being over the top. The entire staff was friendly, seemed proud of their work, and were very on top of things, The employees help each other out keeping an eye on their tables, and the best part, the food was outstanding. This place is definitely a hidden gem. After we were there, we couldn't believe we didn't go sooner after how many times we've passed by. We will absolutely go back. If you get the deep fried parmesan corn on the cob, just ask for the Bay Seasoning with it. It's got great texture, but is a little bland as is until you add seasoning. That's the only thing out of everything we ordered that I would say needed a slight adjustment. The boil itself, outstanding. They also give you a ton of food for the cost, and if you provide proof of movie tickets at Cinemark, you receive an additional 15% off your bill. Be sure to have your tickets to the movies prior to going to eat so you can show them your tickets to receive the discount. If you like crab boil and haven't given this place a shot, go there. I don't think...
