McDonald's — Restaurant in Liberty Township

Every once and a while I have to go to Powell for business, as a result I have stopped at this nightmare quite a few times over the last five years. From the first purchase to the last which was today 5/11/14 the service has always been terrible. Order a salad for lunch, it comes without dressing and chicken. Order a value meal large size and receieve a child size drink and half-full large size fry. The other common problem here is the constant rate they seem to run out of main ingredients for menu items. Want a big mac? They're out of sauce, order a cheeseburger, they just ran out of cheese. Thirsty for a ice-cold coke? Sorry they just ran out.. Even more frightening is the number of times they said the food "had to be thrown out", hmmmm that does not sound good. Employees mishandling food and storing things improperly?

After sitting in the line for nearly 20 minutes this morning after the staff had "forgot" they had 2 drive thru lines. Oops! Then as usual after a long wait they screwed up the food order again, sausage egg and cheese biscuit, without cheese and yes they charged for it plus I received a free pancake breakfast in a seperate bag!

I told the girl at the window and she looked really annoyed and asked me to pull forward. Went inside got a refund (kept the sandwich and the pancakes). STAY AWAY from this place it is run/managed/staffed like a nightmare. Even worse after 9pm the Powell area high school brats with cars hang out in the parking lot and trash the place with litter and joint roaches neither the management of this place or the Powell cops stop the activity. I will stick with the mcdonalds 3 blocks away from my house in UA, it is not perfect but at least they try. I frequent this McDonald because it is convenient, and no other reason. The staff is beyond rude. I was here recently with my children, and realized they forgot to give me our drink cups. After telling someone upfront who appeared to be a manager she gave me our cups, but shorted us one. When I told her politely we were one cup short she grabbed one and threw it down on the counter so that the rim of the cup hit the dirty counter, and it was dirty! I also ordered food there tonight 11/28/15 via drive through. Had to wait forever to pay, then wait a long time to get my food. Got home, only to realize they messed up the drinks. Not a big deal. The food was correct. Started eating, and the cheeseburger was only so so, with an almost stale bun. The fries were stone cold, and tasted like they were a week old. This McDonald’s experience was rough from start to finish. When I walked in, it looked like the place was running itself. Hardly any staff in sight, just a few people wandering around behind the counter like they weren’t sure what to do next. The wait for food was way longer than it should be, especially for a place known for being fast.

When I finally got my order, it wasn’t even what I asked for. No apology, no explanation, just a bag of food that I didn’t recognize. Honestly, the whole experience was frustrating and disappointing. I get that places have off days, but this felt more like a full-on shutdown. Definitely not going back anytime soon.

Bonus points for being clean and for my food at least being hot, even though it’s not what I ordered I still ate it. Because even the wrong McDonalds order...
