Today August 28 around noon my daughter and I had brunch there this was our second time going we had the same serve who I told the first time I would be back because I was fascinated by the service and food. But today, I'm can say I was beyond disappointed and even hurt. Today at this same restaurant, i once really enjoyed I was racially profiled and discriminated. Today, as my daughter, who is 2, had a diaper incident, I had to hurry on to the restroom . Before getting up and going, I made sure to ask the manager and my waitress where the bathrooms were located. I took some time in the bathroom since my daughter had a major diaper accident. As I'm walking out, there is a waitress waiting by the back exit right in front of the restroom where my daughter and I were. and the other waitress by the front exit. As soon as I started walking to my table the waitress that was in the back started walking behind me (as if she was escorting me back to my table) the waitress in the front met half way with her in their little hallway by the kitchen and making some remarks. My daughter wasn't even halfway through her food. I planned on her finishing, but as soon as the waitress came, I did confront her about the issue. I said, "Do you do this to all your customers? She acted surprised, and I said yes, I saw what you and the other waitress did. She said I'm sorry you felt that way."" I said, "Do you do this to every single customer that goes to the bathroom ?? She goes no, we were just worried something had happened to you. Excuse me, but that was the most uncalled for response. I said I noticed how you and the other waitress made your remarks as if I was going to the restroom and then walking out without paying. If I'm having lunch out at a restaurant, it's because I have money to pay, not because I was going to be walking out. She kept insisting that she was sorry I felt that way. I felt that way because she and the other waitress made sure I felt that way. Seeing the demographic of the place bc I was at the entrance booth, it was majority white, and I myself Hispanic! I asked once again, "Do you do this to all the white customers as well?? Do you make sure nothing has happened to them in the bathroom and then escorted them back to their table? She was quiet and insisted on getting a manager. Never had I been discriminated in such a way. Therefore, I will no longer be coming to this place. Which I had truly enjoyed and had even recommended my family and friends. I am also a business owner myself and would never treat my customers the way I was treated at...
Read moreI've been wanting to try their other location in Montgomery, so when this one opened close to us, we had to stop in. I tried to join their waitlist online before arriving, but it wasn't working at the time, so we fed the kids a snack before heading out, figuring we'd have a decent wait. We parked in the parking garage by the AC Hotel and walked around the hotel to get to the restaurant's front door which is on the other side of the hotel building. When we arrived we got added to the waitlist quickly. There were 16 parties ahead of us, and we were told it would probably be a little over an hour wait. We walked around Libterty Center for a while with our kids (2.5 y/o twins), blessed with great weather we had a great time and we were pleasantly surprised when we got the text our table was ready after only 40 mins! We were seated quickly with the two high chairs we requested and decided what we wanted, placing our food and drink orders at the same time. I got a mimosa flight, which was fresh and refreshing. The peach and raspberry mimosas were a little sweet for my taste, but it was nice to switch things up and try something new. My husband got a black coffee and said it was quite good! For brunch, we ordered pancakes for the twins to split, they also ate the small fruit cups that came with our meals, which was a nice touch. I ordered the spinach, gouda, bacon omlet, which was so good, perfectly prepared, and my husband got the cinnamon streusel pancakes, which he also thought were good but might try something different next time. But honestly, the highlight of our food was the hash brown squares that came with my meal, holy smokes I will always and forever order those. They were incredibly tasty, and we didn't let a single bite go to waste! Finally, the service was prompt, extremely friendly, and their shirts were cheeky (make sure you check them out😅). Overall, we'll be making our way back here many times in the future and hopefully bringing friends and family along next time to share...
Read moreWas put on the wait list and went back out to sit in my car because of the crowd. This is the second time this has happened to me at this location. Was told 40 mins. Received the initial text so when 40 mins passed my party & I went back in to check & was met with disregard. People who weren’t there as long as we was already seated. I asked the manager how much longer considering they dropped the ball. Not only did they not keep our place in line they didn’t have the correct amount of my party. Instead of him admitting their mistake he chose to try to pacify & minimize. I told him to remove us from the list after he informed me we were 4th in line. As we made our way back to the car the manager came running out to offer a table he didn’t seem to have prior to me walking out. I asked him how he all of sudden came up with a table and he couldn’t come with anything but “if you want it you can have it” I declined. Not one apology was given throughout this process and why should I spend money with a business who obviously doesn’t see me as a valued customer. What I’ve experienced both times I’ve been to this location is there is a certain demographic that is catered to as if all money isn’t Green! I chose not to leave a review the first time because I wanted to believe it was an isolated incident but after not visiting the restaurant & seeing a completely different manager I saw a couple of months ago it’s clear that treating certain people differently is what is ingrained in this location. No worries though I will never return to this location & will be Completely honest with anyone who looks like me to not waste their time because that’s exactly what I did when I walked...
