Catch 22 Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Liberty

This was our first time visiting this local bar and grill. When you walk in it has that bar vibe going on with the standard tables and chairs and concrete floor and TVs everywhere. The menu is limited but not terrible. When we asked about a drink menu we were told there wasn't one but after a few questions we learned they have specialty drinks. The bar tender/ waitress was very friendly and told us everything was made in house with the exception of the fries and tots. We were there on a Thursday and the Tenderloin is the special of the day so we ordered that and a French dip sandwich. Both came with sides, my wife had the tots, which were over seasoned, and I had onion rings with mine which were pretty good. The French dip wasn't anything special and was really simple but tasted delicious, the tenderloin was huge and I ended up cutting it in half and had another sandwich the next day. The tenderloin was delicious too and exactly what you would expect from a good tenderloin. We also ordered an appetizer of the stuffed jalapeno poppers which you can tell were really fresh and they were amazing. Probably the best thing we had. We also ordered a couple drinks. I had the pina colada which came out in a pouch and was poured over ice and my wife had their house made lemonade with vodka. Both were pretty good. We asked if they had any events like bands or karaoke or anything like that but we were told that it only happens occasionally which was disappointing to hear. Horrible experience. Definitely stay away. I don’t typically leave reviews, and tried to address concerns directly with the owner but was told my complaints weren’t valid. We should’ve left immediately after walking into the restaurant. First we were greeted by waitress eating her dinner. Which brings the concern, that the employees aren’t offered required breaks my law. Service was okay. Food wasn’t great neither. My daughter decided to play corn-hole game, two tables away from us while we waited on food. The owner/cook made rude comments towards her for accidentally knocking a picture off the wall. The restaurant had 2 people sitting at the bar, and one other table eating. While watching my daughter, the owner stepped out multiple times while cooking to smoke. Very disappointing. 6pm on a Saturday and there was only one other table in the place. We sat and were given a “menu” with maybe 5 items. It said limited menu on it but no explanation as to why. All Fried Food. No other options at all. I asked about a salad and was told they don’t have them. Everything is served in and on disposable items. Drinks in plastic, plastic silverware, styrofoam plates and bowls when they are charging $15-$20 for a meal! We had 4 people in our party. I didn’t order a meal, we had an order of nachos, a tenderloin sandwich meal and 2 pulled pork Mac n cheese meals. Food was decent, not amazing. After tip the total was $120.
