I’ve been here twice since they opened this week. Being a pescatarian, concerns of mine are always cross-contamination, food safety, and being seen as a nuisance to staff. I’m very positive and polite whenever I go out to eat. I believe service workers are under appreciated. They need to be compensated appropriately for their effort. That being said the staff is great here. Usually when a new business opens, there’s chaos due to lack of training. My usual is the Veggie Hummus, a bag of Miss Vickie’s chips, & a Green Detox Smoothie. That being said, the food quality is good. My hummus wrap was great. Not too overpowering and not bland either. The Detox smoothie was great too. Well blended. No chunks. My only concern is some food safety issues. My sister caught a worker not wearing gloves when he wrapped her sandwich. He had just finished washing dishes. Like I said, there’s growing pains, when you’re opening a new store & having to train staff. I expect that to be addressed. I just hope this business lasts. Not too many people there both times I’ve been there. It just sucks because this area doesn’t have too many options when it comes to healthier eating. The service other than that was quick and attentive. Several workers asked me if I needed help despite being overworked with orders. I was waiting for my sister and my phone had died. Read moreVisited this new location on 10/24 around 11:45am. I walked in and waited in line for about 5 minutes with no else in front of me, I didn’t mind since I figured they had online orders to do but the girl working didn’t bother to acknowledge me. She took my order and I let her know I had a coupon to use and when it didn’t get taken off she got annoyed and said I’ll need to get my manager. The manager also seemed kind of annoyed, I guess I was supposed to tell them I had a coupon before I ordered anything is what he told me. I’ll be sure to do that next time. After 10 minutes I noticed my order and another customers behind me order sitting on the counter and finally when the other customer spoke up they handed us the orders. The manager also had handed me my quesadilla with the box flipped to where it was all lopsided, which again not a big deal but keeping it up right is a small gesture that makes a difference so the food doesn’t get messed up. My smoothie was also made wrong which I kindly let them know and he said “ that’s not what it says on the receipt” and I let him know I did order my smoothie with dark chocolate not white. Overall the food was good, smoothie was good but customer service really does make a difference and makes or breaks your visit. Read moreStopped by the new tropical cafe the Thursday morning 10/16, cafe was beautiful and clean. We ordered a few southwest wraps and a smoothie. Two young girls took my order. My issue was you can overhear one of the young girls talking crap about the wraps and the oven, and the worst part was both of them making our wraps DID NOT have gloves on even after touching the register and blenders. Once we got home and opened our wraps they were half unwrapped, greasy and just a hot mess. I am really disappointed, they need supervision or at least a manager there to oversee them, they should not be running this store alone.
