I wouldn't come here again. My first impression was when I walked up to the counter the first time ever being there I talk to a woman (who was likely the boss?) She says "What can I get you?" I ask, "how much is your salad bar?" She turns around points to the plate sizes and prices that were stuck to the wall behind her and says "that is right here." and walked off. I was baffled by the lack of service. No explanation or conversation for a first time customer, but very direct and procedural. Not friendly. Anyways The thing that put me off the most was the service here. I don't know what happened but they micro manage Every. Single. Thing. The pizza was a 6 at best. Although we sat in and ate and we grabbed our pizza right away. The cheese was hard and chewy. Like they use cheap cheese - it didn't string off the pizza when you pull the slice. It instead, slid off the pizza when pulled or pulled it off the other pizza. For example. You have to choose how much salad you want before you get it and they charge you per serving of salad. And it's not cheap. $5 For a small salad, $6.50 for a large salad. FOR ONE TIME THROUGH. (What happenes if you like the potatoe salad and want more? Sucks for you, you can't get more, better load up the first time) OR you can get the "all you can eat salad" for $10 but wait. If you want to go for a round two, you HAVE TO TURN IN YOUR PLATE TO GET A NEW PLATE. Why can't you reuse your plate? Is it to keep track of the salad portions? I see people at the salad bar with a small plate filling their hands with salad because of the stupid rule. Then, I ordered drinks. $1.50 for a 16oz drink. No free refills. YOU HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE PER REFILL. Then you ask okay I'll do a large drink, then find out you cant serve yourself. You have to get your cup and your drink at the bar at the next counter. And you cant control how much ice to soda ratio. They micro manage this for you. You cant serve yourself which is a stupid rule. Overall, the lack of trust they have for their customers is ridiculous. They advertise all over their menus from local businesses you would think that someone who is sponsoring them would give enough money to offer free refills or one size all you can eat salad. The salad bar was not good. The clam chowder tasted worse than the Progresso can of soup you buy in the grocery store. Overall our bill was $62 for two salads, two pizzas, and 4 drinks, which seems steep to me. I would not come back the combination of bad service, ridiculous business model, and the bad cheese pizza, I will not be back.

As for every review I do I start with atmosphere when you walk in, service and then food. Use to own a beach cabin in Pacific City from 1989 to 2004. So Gallucci's was the go to pizza place. Not much has changed as way of atmosphere. Love the old school pizza parlor vibe. Clean, very organized and inviting once you walk in. Absolutely enjoy the small arcade. Bathrooms was clean which was nice. The service was fast in getting our order and drinks. Once the pizza was ready, your number is called and you need to go pick it up. The pan is still hot and your given paper plates as sort of a pot holder to not burn you hand. These plates are also your plates for putting your pizza on. Now the food. Like I said before been going there since 1989 and at that time though the pizza was very, very good. Thin style crust, sauce was full of flavor with fresh toppings. Fast forward to present day. It's been maybe 10 years since I ate there last. So going back home my son and I decided to stop since he didn't remember it from when he was a kid. We order the 4 meat pizza. The first thing we noticed was the cheese was all on top. Once you grab a slice the top layer of the cheese slide off the slice. First bite I knew this was not the same pizza of past years. The topping were fine. The sauce lack flavored but the crust I enjoyed. What changed was the cheese. I'm not s huge cheese lover. I don't mind mozzarella since it has a low flavor profile. But this cheese was a mixed blend. I am going to say something along of mozzarella and Parmesan. Parmesan cheese in my family is called stinky feet cheese because that's what is smells like. So on first bite I got a blast of wet gym sock smell and taste (Parmesan). I had to peel the cheese off my slices to eat. My suggestion is( if anyone cares) is stick to traditional pizza of just mozzarella. If they want the extra of different blend add that option or like the old day just let the customer add it by having it in a container. Maybe try a different way of applying the cheese and make it balance so the topping are mixed and are held together. Not trying to get this such a negative view..but this just didn't work for me.

Definitely not the good old days. I have been going to Gallucci's since I was a kid before they even moved into the bigger building and it was always the best pizza around when the old owner had it. It is definitely changed. We were there a couple nights ago. It is very expensive now for what you get. I ordered a large one topping pizza and my dad got the chicken and JoJo's. He was only going to get the two piece but I ordered him the four piece anyway because I knew he wouldn't mind leftovers if he couldn't eat it all. I am so glad I got the four piece because I've never seen four smaller pieces of chicken in any restaurant I've ever been to. I've honestly had bigger chicken nuggets then the chicken thigh and wing and leg were. I would have really been embarrassed for my dad had he only got the two-piece and gotten that leg and wing that weren't much bigger than my thumb. He said he would never go back again. The JoJo's he said were very good though crispy and flavorful. The pizza was average. It wasn't fantastic like the old days with the great crust. The crust is definitely different now and not great like the old days. It's definitely different with the new owners you can tell they're probably not his hands-on as the old owner. It just has the feeling now of just being a tourist trap. I don't mind spending More money for better food but $44 is pretty expensive for a 15 inch one topping pizza and a four-piece chicken when they don't even give you a decent portion of chicken. They do have a lot of seating though in the atmosphere is pretty good and kids seem to really like the arcade. I still gave it three stars out of five only because even though their pizza's not great like it used to be it's still better than chain pizza like Domino's or Pizza Hut or Papa John's. Sadly I have to say, I think Godfathers and Roundtable are both better now though than the last two pizzas I've gotten from here which is too bad.

I think a 4.2 is fair for this place. For some reason, I find the average rating dip to 3.9 to be unfair.

Been coming to Gallucci’s for over two decades now. Whenever I am in LC, this is one of our stops (as was the sadly shuttered Blackfish Grill, which points to somewhat of a ‘range’ when it comes to where I go when in LC). I like the size and overall 'feel' of the place. It is decidedly non-chain and serves their unique spin on pizza which helps to differentiate it from the countless chains you could go to in LC.

Our last visit wasn’t the best and it wasn’t the worst. Reason being? They brought back their basic salad bar!!! And, yes, it is basic. But, given costs these days, it was fairly priced for a one-time run-through (and I bet you could get away with doing several passes, given that the staff remain largely affected/aloof local youths with one or two grown-ups sprinkled into the mix, some of whom also seemed a bit pained about having to provide customers with service). The pizza? It was good. Just not as good as it was in past experiences. The ‘cheese on top’ approach is usually wonderful, with said cheese spreading to the edges of the perfectly crispy crust and creating a nice treat at the end of the slice. This time? There was a bit less cheese, even if there were still enough toppings hiding underneath the dairy. Prices have gone up for their pizzas too. Then again, where is that not an issue? They have a limited range of beer options, the usual soda choices, and so on.

Service was fairly quick even though it was busy (which might explain the slapdash issues with the pizza). And those aloof workers? They did their job, when prompted. Can’t really complain about that (they are working at a pizza place in LC). My group of seven left full . . . and with leftovers. Again, can’t really complain.

I get some of the negative reviews. They need to do some light cleaning and maybe consider some updates to the interior. The sauce isn’t that zesty. And I can understand having a bad experience or two with some of those youths—and their pained adult minders--working there. That said, some of the negative reviews border on pointless. You leave one star and no comments?!?! Why bother? Others seem to have some sort of axe to grind with the ‘good old days’ being gone. You know what? Things change. And, as long as they don’t change too much, you shouldn’t be wishing this place ill. Heck, I bet you have changed too! Imagine a review of you now compared to who you were five or ten years ago. Seriously. Imagine it. And then having everyone see it on Google. Sorta’ makes you think (I hope). I’d think that locals would root for a place like this and offer constructive ways for them to do better.

Still recommended. Will go here the next time I am in town. But, Gallucci’s, you can’t rest on your laurels. Aim for more consistency in your pizzas, even on a busy night. Consider adding some additional items to your salad bar. The workers? Might want to check what is in...

Not so great this time, Gallucci's... About 3 years ago, we had some AMAZING pizza from Gallucci's Pizza!! I was so excited to eat here again... It was New Year's Eve, so we looked online for adjusted hours, excited to find out they were open until 10, as we were meeting with some family who were also in town for the night! At 8:15 p.m. we ordered our pizza. They told us it was take-out only because they were closing at 9 p.m., pointing to a sandwich board off to the side. Wanting to sit and visit with our family, we almost went somewhere else. Remembering it was NYE, and likely to be busy everywhere, we decided to take food back to our hotel and eat. As we looked at the menu, they informed us they had only 2 11" pizzas left and no 13" pizzas. They're 8" pizzas are tiny and their 15" crazy expensive, and we were ordering 2 pizzas. The issue was our family was also ordering pizza separately and we wanted to make sure they could also get the sizes they wanted. We opted to do the last 2 11" pizzas, which was also very spendy, btw, but remembering the pizza was so good last time... Second annoyance, they charged us 2 to-go box fees. I understand for the people opting to take food to-go, but when we wanted to eat in, and with everything else that was about to come, this was more of a "hindsight annoyance". As we were waiting for our pizza, there was a guy behind the counter, in the kitchen, in plain view, handling the food and utensils, rubbing his nose. At first I wasn't going to say anything, but then he started rubbing all up inside his nostrils! Picking or just scratching, but fingers up in his nose! I walk up to the counter and tell the young girl this guy is handling food and he's about to touch my pizzas... She looks over to another guy (managerial, maybe) and I tell him the same thing, urgently this time as my pizzas are coming out any second, "Don't let him touch my food, he's back there picking his nose and rubbing his face and did not wash his hands." The guy, seeming like he's just bored by my talking, walks over, nonchalantly, and tells the nose picking guy to go wash his hands. I was still a little grossed out, but gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was a one-time incident and he did not rub his face before touching my food crosses fingers... We get our pizza and take it back to the hotel, which was LITERALLY right next door at Inn at Wecoma. The BBQ chicken pizza is undercooked, doughy, toppings sliding completely off, not even hot. We tried popping it in the microwave, but all that did was start scalding the bbq sauce, so it was not edible. Super disappointed. The "Dirty Bird" pizza was good. We'll take the BBQ one home today and see if it's edible reheated in the air fryer, but it's highly likely we won't eat at Gallucci's again. There's too many other delicious places in...

I ate there with my wife in early March, 2020. I guess I'm a dummy but their menu was kind of confusing. If you have to spend 10 minutes explaining your menu then you probably need to change it. We got the lunch special for an 8' inch pizza for $8.95, I think. I asked if I could get pepperoni, mushrooms and onion on my pizza. They said you can only have 2 toppings. I said I'll pay extra for the third topping. I'm over 50 years old and have consumed lots and pizza, probably a couple of thousand slices of pizza. I had to buy most of that pizza and don't remember ever being told that I couldn't pay for an extra ingredient to be put on my pie. Not the the end of the world though, I'll go with pepperoni and mushrooms. They said they would bring it out to us.

A salad was supposed to come with our pizza. There's actually a salad bar to put your salad together. It was a nice self serve salad bar. Well maintained and the salad items were plentiful and fresh. We were not sure if a they we going to bring us a smaller non-self serve salad or what. We were very hungry waiting on our pizza and salad. They finally brought the pizza and my wife asks "What about the salad?" Reply, "Oh, she didn't give you a salad plate." Not the end of the world either. She gave us the plates and we got up and got our nice salads at the salad bar.

The pizza's were brought to us on 8 inch pans. They were actually pretty dang good. For $8.95 or $9.95 I think the pizza and salad was well worth that. It was really hot though and I almost burned my mouth eating the first piece. This pizza's cheese solidified fairly quick after cooling. I think they use a cheddar cheese mixed with Mozzarella so when I bit into it most of the cheese and topping mixed in with the cheese would come off the rest of the small slice that I had not bitten yet. The pizza was still really tasty but I was very hungry.

They have a rustic dining environment. All wood benches to sit on. They have at least couple of TVs and had sports on. The place was clean. The person who took our order was generally friendly but spoke really fast. I don't know why, there weren't but about four in the restaurant at the time.

It's a good place to stop and get some lunch. The 8 inch, 2 item pizza and salad bar for $8.95 or $9.95, (I'm not sure) was a really good deal if there are only a couple of you. With 3 or more you should probably go with a larger pizza unless your group is going dutch. We'll probably go back there sometime. It was a good experience other than the salad confusion.

Update 12/23/2023. I gave Gallucci's pizza another visit. The employees were friendly and there was good service. The pizza was decent but one thing stood out. The pizza sauce had no flavor whatsoever....
