I visited your establishment yesterday around 5:30 pm yesterday 06/23/19. I wanted my family to meet here since it is in a convenient location just off of the Highway as well as every time we have been here it has been such a great experience. Not this time... I am sure there was some confusion in the beginning since we split our orders up. This is no excuse for what happened though. I ordered 2 Chicken fried steak entrees and asked the young lady twice if I needed to pay for the buffet as I was taking one of the meals home, she said it was included. I asked a second time to make sure, same answer. We are seated, make a visit to the buffet and come back to our table and the server Brooke brought out the entrees and I immediately pushed my to the empty spot on the table. I had no intentions of eating it there, this is what I wanted to take home. I mentioned it to her and she says all that I could be given were plastic bags. I thought it was a joke. She really brought me bags. How can I wrap up gravy covered meal with bags? I went to the counter and asked why I could not get a box to put my entrée in, not anything from the food bar. (I know some people try to full a fast one) This is why I ordered the entrée, so I could take it to go. I was told that I could not have one, per the manager somewhere in the back that never came out. Needless to say, I was very upset about this. Brooke offered to give me a lid for the extra gravy and I told her, it was already too late. She took it person and started getting defensive. I said it is not your fault, but the manager who refused to assist me or give me a solution to the issue. I am not sure if I will every bring my family back here again after this frustrating problem. Read moreI hate giving low star reviews, I would have knocked it down to one star if it was the worse. I got the new York strip, it came out like it was heated up, no browning, after cutting into it the inside was the same color outside, but the temperature was right for med rare. There was also a fat cap on the strip , looks like it was cut from the fatty side of a sirloin not a short loin, and seemed to be sitting in a salt solution before cooking so the meat wouldn't go bad. so from traveling over 130k miles a year I would say this is one of the worst steaks I've had in recent memory other than the one that gave me food poisoning. The buffet was amazing and it had some of the best chicken I've ever had, the ribs were tender and the pot pie stuff was amazing. The desert bar was a little on the messy side with multiple food items touching each other and some sort of liquid in the chocolate chips. And the ( I guess bread pudding) was gelatinous. The waitress was ok, a tad cold in manners, however very astute in her duties and asking several times if I needed something. I think overall the buffet was good but because of the steak and salt solution the meal ended up on the side of i55. First time I've thrown up in years due to food disagreeing with me.
Update 4-18-19, I forgot to add this, I tried calling and tried getting back there. I don't remember the person but they hung up on me several times...
Read moreWhen I walked in the lady behind the desk was on her phone not paying attention, and whenever she noticed I was standing there she gave me a dirty look and said “hello?” As if I should know what to do. I asked if we we’re supposed to wait to be seated since it was my first time here and she gave me extreme attitude and said “well the menu is up on the wall, what are you wanting today? We also have a buffet” I ended up getting the buffet which was $30 for two people including drinks. The food was old and stale, the only good thing about the food was the salad and even then, the lettuce was frozen. The lady that was walking around checking tables was amazing, however the host was extremely rude and in my opinion should not be in the service industry. I’m a server at dennys and if I ever talked to a customer like that, my tip would be gone and my manager would have a very stern talking with me. Just because you don’t get tipped and are making minimum wage doesn’t mean you should be rude to customers and on your phone...
