The food was absolute GARBAGE! It looks so cute and quant on the outside but the quality of food AS WELL AS SERVICE is complete trash! I ordered a chicken quesadilla for my daughter and shrimp tacos for myself with a side of rice and refried beans. The refried beans were cold, dry, and hard ( I'd like to add I observed them being removed from a Bush Beans can. My daughter's quesadilla was ice cold and the chicken looked like it came from the can as well! Nothing is made fresh on the premise! The food is shipped and either reheated in a microwave or, taken out of packaging of some kind and put together. I also was put off at the fact the teenage kitchen staff handled my food without washing their hands or wearing gloves! (DISGUSTING) I payed 28 dollars! Such a rip off! I won't be back! I wish I took pics but, I ended up throwing it in the trash and ordered a pizza instead! with all the Authentic restaurants in the area you would thing that salt 2.0 would be more on their...
Read moreReally want to like this place since they have lots of different options for vegans/vegetarians/meat eaters but both of my experiences there have not been good.
Both times they got our orders wrong(missing side of guac, nothing complicated).
The dine in experience is also lacking, they insist that you order and pay through an app on your phone which for me takes away the fun and connection. (Also you are forced to give away user data to TheToast, which is the service they use). It's almost like they don't want you to stick around is the vibe I got.
Also the serving size and quality of the food is lacking in regards to their pricing.
However it is nice to have an option in Torrington that is not pizza/Italian food. If you do go, I would definitely recommend take out...
Read moreSalt 2.0 is delicious and just what Litchfield needed. There aren’t many other quick-serve restaurants in the area that are actually quick, and the variety of options here doesn’t disappoint. My favorites are the smoked salmon wrap, tuna poke bowl and blackened shrimp tacos. The build-a-bowl option is also great for those who want to customize and reminds me of quick-serve restaurants like Sweetgreen or Dig Inn (some of my favorites lunch places in the city!). The online ordering feature is easy to use and is regularly updated with new features and ingredients. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into the food offerings on Salt 2.0’s menu, and the results are...
