My email to the clinic below should sum up just about everything you’d want to avoid from a clinic. Even when they tried to call me back after my email response and left a voicemail I tried calling them back the same day and what a surprise I still haven’t heard from them. If you care more about throwing away money than the care of your beloved pet - this place will make sure to hike up the price and not care about relationship or customer experiences.
Below was my email to them:
IMPORTANT
I recently requested from 1-800 pet meds for heartgard for Chloe and Claire Carter since I did reach out to you folks twice in November and January and had asked if you could price match instead of charging almost double the price for Heartgard (I had also SPECIFICALLY mentioned to you that I still had 4 months worth of supply of heartgard for the dogs for Dec-Jan-Feb-Mar, therefore didn’t need any until April)
The first time I even tried to order the heartgard was November 27 (4 days after there visit with you) you of course rejected it due to the weight because they were over 25lbs (Chloe is now at 27lbs and Claire is now 26lbs) you stated they needed higher dosages (which by the way conflicts with some of the other veterinarians I visited that said it would be OK to give them the 25lb Heartgard considering they’ve fluctuated between 24-28lbs ). Furthermore after my supply was almost done I tried to order AGAIN from 1-800 pet meds yesterday so I can have their supply ready for April and yet again you rejected it due to them needing a heartworm test? Are you kidding me? The heart worm test are only required every year for the dogs. This to me is just another way of you folks charging for another visit and another test that’s not needed till November 24, 2019.
We had all of their updated vaccinations along with the heartworm test and we spent well over $500 just in the first visit alone on Nov 24 2018 why would I be rejected for getting the prescription that’s annual ? Per my invoice it specifically states the next reminder for a heartworm test is November 24, 2019 and yet you’re requiring for a another heartworm test when they have already been taking it monthly ?? I have never had this issue with any other veterinary clinics. Quite frankly, it’s extremely upsetting to me that you folks are treating this irresponsibly from a customer and pet experience by not calling me or giving me some follow up for feedback. If you cared about your clients you would take the extra step, however, unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case . I truly hope no one else goes through this process, therefore you'll be receiving an in depth review from me online to help others avoid this customer experience and ridiculous pricing. You folks are only 3 miles from where I live now but I will have no problem driving another 6 miles to the other vet which has provided me much better service than...
Read moreOk, first off I have been using Healthy Paws for several years and have not once encountered an issue. They have been professional with me and have given great attention to my 3 babies whom are all rescued by the way. My Shih Tzu had come from a flea infested environment and was scratching constantly. Thanks to the 2 doctors who checked her out she is doing so much better. She is on anti itch medication and special shampoo. Her hair has grown back and she looks great and feels so much better! She has eye issues that are being addressed with daily eyedrops for the rest of her life and she is doing great with that also. She just recently had a bad ear infection that was making her miserable so I took her in and explained her behavior and what I had done and it was not helping. They addressed her issues and put antibiotic ointment in her ear. She needed 2 applications and now she has completely healed. Had it not been for the good quality service I don't know what I would have done. My other 2 babies are Lhasa Apso's and they are doing great. Also I want to mention the groomers as I use Sharla and Leslie and they do a wonderful job. They work hard to get them looking and feeling their best and I do appreciate it. One of my Lhasa's has separation anxiety but she seems to be happy to get groomed and happy when I pick her up. To date I have not had any problems that would make me want to go anywhere else. Dr. Cole & Dr. Zeisler have always answered my questions and have taken time with me on my concerns as well as the other doctors and technicians. I always ask questions if I am unsure about something and it is addressed at that time. If I think something should be done I voice my opinion. They are the professionals and I know my dogs so together we work as a team addressing any problems or concerns. I find that their pricing is no higher than most and I feel that I get good quality service. I have had a lot of dogs in my lifetime so far and have seen many veterinarians and groomers and Healthy Paws has been...
Read moreI have been going to Healthy Paws since I moved here in 2022 and my Dog was regularly groomed here as well. About 3 weeks ago my dog who was only two began to throw up constantly. I brought him in and the doctor advised X rays or we could try medication. I took the medication route and took her advice to if it got worse go to the ER. That night I went to the ER to ensure there was no blockage and to have blood work done. All of his blood work came back " Good" and there was no blockage. To avoid more ER fees I went back to the vet again and they continued to push more medication that did not fix the issue. I called numerous times and they would say hold him up to feed, give the medication and I did it ALL.I finally was able to get a call back from a doctor who stated all blood work was good but the white blood cell levels were higher than the ER visit which I did not even know they were high. She did not even ask me to come in to get him an antibiotic. She said she would speak to a specialist on Friday April 12th to see what they suggest. Come to find out she never called the specialist that day. I called Saturday because he was getting worse and they said they could not see him they were too busy. I rushed him all the way to the ER in Dallas and he passed away due to an infection that could have been prevented if he was given an antibiotic. I am devastated and to make it worse the vet has not even contacted me to see how I am or ask how he was doing. $4,000.00 later and given a ton of medication he did not need I am heart broken he was only two. I usually do not leave reviews like this but they had NO idea how to help my dog, they avoided ever thing I said and continued to fix him with medication for throwing up when I told them it is not working. I am heart broken and truly do not want anyone to feel the pain I did. I could understand if I did not speak up, call, come in multiple times but I was ignored and now I lost my pet. Worse experience I...
