Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Little Elm

We buy lunch for our employees at our small business every Saturday and try hard to use other small businesses around us on Saturday’s. Yesterday we chose to go to this Schlotzsky’s location in Little Elm. We ordered online for a pick up. One of our employees wanted to pick it up and bring back for everyone. Unfortunately it was a horrible experience. The first attempt at picking the order up, they went into the dining area to pick up the order. The help at the counter wasn’t super friendly, but wasn’t too bad. Unfortunately when they got to the car with the order that had already been bagged when they got there they looked in and noticed none of the chips were included in the order. They went to go back into the dining area to ask for the chips. The doors were locked. They had to bang on the door and ask to come in. The person on the other side just yelled and said they were closed (this was during Saturday lunch time). After some back and forth they let them into the dining area and gave them some of the chips. Again they left and counted the chips when they got back to the truck. Well, they only put half the chips in the bag. They went back in to get the rest and this time the employees at the Schlotzsky’s was extremely rude and argued with them. Overall the experience was horrible. When we got the sandwiches back to the office and ate them they were horrible. The bread was soggy and they were missing the lettuce. I do not believe we will go back to this location ever again. This is not our first bad experience at this location. It’s extremely disappointing because we love Schlotzsky’s. We will find other small businesses to support.

Editing my reply since I can’t reply to the owners comments. I’m honestly shocked that the owner of this business called me out as a liar when they have no idea when my employee came into your business to pick up our order. How do you know which person around noon on Saturday came into the lobby and was treated rude by the staff. I’m disappointed about how defensive this business owner is. I have always liked schlotzskys food and this location was also good. What i want to comment on is the service and staff. When we went today and ordered the food and sat down to wait..and wait and wait I decided to ask after 20 min if it normally takes this long for the food and of course the nice lady who took our order said no and went to check. She came back and said they had not even started our order at which time I definitely got upset and asked for a refund. The manager came out and started giving excuses and due to my bad day and then this flub I wasn't even trying to listen and just kept saying give me my refund. This manager stayed fully composed during this incident, did refund all of my money even though I told him I did receive my cinnamon rolls and expected to pay for what I had gotten. After this he asked that I please give him 2 minutes and my food would be out and completely free. I did as he asked and our food was brought out promptly. To be honest I wouldn't have been able to deal with my attitude if I was in his shoes and stayed so positive. I let him know personally that he did a great job and I was sorry for loosing my composure. I also felt the need to let everyone know that this establishment has kind employees and will try to correct anything that may come up during a visit. Honestly need more people in the world with this man's positive energy. I hope his higher ups read this and praise him and his staff for the good...
