BEWARE!!! To an other customers using a debit/credit at the Burger King Drive-Thru in Plano, Illinois..today 2/15/2025 at approximately 1:30pm my sister and I had just placed our order in the Drive-Thru. When we got to the first window to pay for our food, the lady at the window took my debit card and closed the window. After what seemed like forever but was probably 30 seconds I realized I was still waiting to receive my debit card back. That’s when I noticed that the lady who took my debit card had her back turned to me and I could see she was doing something on her cellphone. While I was watching her (with her back still turned away from me) she turned around with her cellphone in one hand and my debit card in the other. When I asked her what she was doing with her back turned away from me while holding her cellphone and MY DEBIT CARD, she nervously said she was just returning a text to her boyfriend. I told her how uncomfortable I was feeling with what had just transpired and how inappropriate it was. She produced her phone with a screen opened to show me that she was just reading or responding to a text (I never did get a straight answer as to which she was doing). Anyways, as I pulled away from the Burger King in Plano with our food did I start playing possible scenarios out in my head as to what this employee might have been doing with her back turned away from us while holding my debit card in one hand and her cellphone in the other. I frantically called my husband told him what had transpired and he said to immediately put ahold on my debit card and go inform the manager as to what had happened. By the time he told me to go into the restaurant and talk to the manager my sister and I were at our next destination. So when I got home I decided that it might still be worth calling the manager at the Plano Burger King and let him or her know about the situation that had transpired. Well, when someone answered the phone I asked to speak to a manager. He informed me that he was the manager and asked what I needed. I proceeded to ask him his name, he refused to give it to me until I stated the reason for my call. So after I explained what had happened between myself and one of his employees did he reveal that he couldn’t help me that I would need to call back on Monday or Tuesday next week and speak with the Store Manager, Lucy and/or the District Manager, Maria. It was only after all this transpired that he gave me his name which was Miguel. I asked him if there was any other phone number I could call to speak with someone or if there was someone else of authority that was going to be coming into the restaurant before Monday or Tuesday? My questions were met with a very snarky No! and that there was nothing else he could do, AND as he said before I could try calling back Monday or Tuesday of next week. He didn’t take my name, phone number, nothing. Now my only option is to cancel mine and my husband’s debit cards just to be safe. But then we’re without a way to access our money in the bank unless we want to go to the ATM and pull out cash or use a credit card until our debit cards can be replaced via the mail. So, my only advice to anyone that is handing another person your debit card as a form of payment is to watch it VERY closely. (Especially at the above establishment.) Oh and if you were expecting to have a problem resolved at the Burger King in Plano on the weekend, forget it, because Miguel can’t do anything. You’ll have to wait till Monday or Tuesday of...
Read moreLast time i ever go to this location. The sandwich location is a little slow and sometimes they run out of items but atleast the stuff is made fresh. Cant say the same for plano. The whopper i got had a stale bun, fries were saugy and had no salt and dont even get me started on the french toast sticks🤢. I dont know why its like this either. Im always EXTREMELY kind and patient when placing an order and i always say thank you. But the tall bigger white dude thats always there always just has this monotone voice like he wishes he was doing anything else but his job. I dont expect 10 star restaurant service, but you could atleast not sound like taking my order is draining your soul. Also they need to hire ATLEAST two people to work the mornings. I know its slow but its slow because you guys have bad service and people arent comming to you. One guy on register, drive through and grill while having the doors locked 24/7 is bad buisness. Plus i know in the morning you have to freshly make the afternoon stuff.and it still came out burnt & i wont...
Read moreWow. You never expect much from most fast food restaurants, but this experience was likely the worst I've ever had. I went into the restaurant to order and eat. There's no way I can put all of the details here, but the employee couldn't possibly care less about even pretending to care about anything. I ordered a kids chicken nugget meal, a cheeseburger, and a chicken fry. What did I get? 3 chicken fries, 3 regular fries, and two cheeseburgers to the tune of $26. I was there with my 5 year old, and I was only planning to have an order of chicken fries. No matter how I tried to explain it to her, she wasn't interested in even pretending to care. They had no ice, ranch, spicy chicken fries, or nuggets... And that's only what I know of that they were out...
