Oof, this location gives Culver’s a bad name. Every time I come here, it’s a bad experience, whether it’s forgetting to put sauce in the bag or something else. Today I got a coupon for a buy one get one free value basket, so I decided to go, even though last time my experience was not good. I thought I’d give them another chance. Well, the girl at the register was shown the coupon and said she would apply it, then said “ope” and gave us our card back. She didn’t bother to say she processed our card before she applied the coupon, even though she was shown the coupon before she got the card. I felt like she probably didn’t use the coupon, checked my bank account and it was a charge for the same amount she said at the speaker before we showed her the coupon at the window. She didn’t have the decency to admit she made a mistake, didn’t bother to rectify the situation at all and call a manager to make it right, just let us drive away thinking she did her job correctly. I understand mistakes get made, but when you make them, own up to them. This was horrible service and absolutely disgusting to me that she took NO accountability. It was deceitful and I do not appreciate being lied to about this. Someone needs to train this horrible staff on how to handle making a mistake so that they don’t just go around lying to the people who are keeping the business afloat. After this experience, I will drive 20 minutes to the Yorkville location because this location keeps showing time and time again that they are trash.
**Update: On top of this horrible experience, I also reached out to the location when this happened and the manager or franchise owner, I can’t remember who she was at this point, asked for my address to send coupons to make up for it. I thought it was odd because she said she could only mail coupons and couldn’t send digital ones, but I gave her my information anyway. I was considering deleting my review or updating it for the better had the situation been rectified, however I never received any coupons, which left an even worse taste in my mouth about the situation. I also think it’s weird that this person asked for my personal information to not do what they said they were going to do with the...
Read moreI AM HORRIFIED!!!! The food actually being good is the only saving grace at this Culver’s location. I could have had a better experience if only the manager would have stopped yelling at her staff every time a minor accident took place. She was yelling at the poor employees running food to the cars that they were not fast enough. I heard her yell at the kitchen staff when an order came out wrong that people might be sent home. It was just shocking to see the blatant disrespect towards her own employees. I mean she was not only yelling at employees in front of their peers but in front of customers too! How demoralizing! Imagine your boss someone you should be able to respect, leading her crew with fear, intimidation, and threats. On top of that it’s obvious that half these employees are still children. It is obscene to think that some of those kids first experience in the workforce is abusive. She was older I believe her name was Jenny or Jane. What’s the most appalling to me is the fact that I’ve witnessed such behavior on a multitude of occasions. At first I thought maybe it was a bad day for the crew/for the boss; but after I saw this happen often; I was astonished. This repeated behavior has made me uncomfortable to be in the dining area let alone ordering food inside. This location of Culver’s is far from the warm inviting environment my family and I have enjoyed in the past (at other locations). On days when she isn’t present the staff seem at ease as well as more efficient. I say this because most notably on days with her and her antics present the food is slower and the staff seem to be in a panic rushing around but not getting much done. In short I strongly don’t recommend bringing children family or friends inside this Culver’s location for any reason other than to use...
Read moreOn Wednesday March 26,2025 I ordered food from this Culvers and I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the pot roast dinner. The order was cold but that wasn't the real issue here. The amount of food was appalling. The pot roast covered approximately half of the piece of bread it sat on . The serving of broccoli barely covered half of the small container. The amount of mashed potatoes was equally as meeger. The roll was old and hard. The gravy for the beef was less than 1/3 the tiny container it was provided in. I immediately called them and was directed to the manager. His name was Chandler. Chandler informed me that each of these items are weighed out. If I hadn't been hungry, I would have laughed. I asked him to make this situation right or I would leave an appropriate review. He was fine with that. So here is the review. Chandler was either being polite or sarcastic. That's not the point. The fact is they are cheating their customers by not giving you enough food to nourish you . I have eaten at Culvers more times than I would like to admit. And with the exception of this location I have always been pleased. I mentioned that the Yorkville location had always served satisfactory portions At that point I got my answer. He informed me that they have a different owner. My recommendation is, that if you want to receive the amount of food that you are paying for, take an extra 10 minutes and drive to Yorkville. This location should be shut down! They should be categorized as rip-off artist! I will also be contacting the national office to inform them of how this location operates. Well done Chandler ! You lost a customer! Thank goodness...
