The chicken salad options are great and taste great! Not AMAZING but well above average! My issue was 100% their pricing! With such a small limited menu that all have the same base ingredients I’d imagine they could make these chicken salads for a fraction of the cost for me to make at home and none of their recipes are private and proprietary they’re all publicly available and made with basic everyday ingredients! So with them being made in such large batches and quantities I’d expect it to be more than it’d cost to make at home per serving even though it’s cheaper for them but they have overhead and staff to pay so a convenience charge of a few extra bucks is totally understandable and expected. But it’s a good 10-20x more than it’d cost to make at home. I mean how else would a brand new absolutely unknown company go from 1 store to roughly 400 in a mere few years unless they’re just charging the most they can for basic chicken salads that’s recipes are were made public by employees at the franchises. I’ll still occasionally splurge knowing it’s ridiculously overpriced but I won’t ever be a regular customer. I see this franchise as Crumb was and Crumbl has become! They became famous out of nowhere with thousands of locations but their pricing made their long term sustainability impossible which is why Crumb went bankrupt and Crumbl has closed 1000 locations thus far! While the stores are convenient and the product is great it’s wildly overpriced and I don’t see it lasting long as all of their recipes are public and it’s just a matter of time before other restaurants start to serve the same or extremely similar varieties in their respective locations! But depending on where you go most of the chicken salads they have you can already buy premade similar versions! Their “classic chicken salad” sandwich costs more for one serving than the rotisserie chicken salads Sam’s club sells and the only differences I can’t tell is chopped instead of shredded chicken, and CSC dices instead of chopping the celery. Their “fancy Nancy” is just the Arby’s Chicken salad sandwich with apples chopped and added. “Fruity Fran” again Arby’s recipe without pecans and with pineapple and apples. Their Cranberry Kelli tastes like a these premade little cups of chicken salad I’ve gotten at Walmart. Idk the brand but they have a few flavors it’s exactly like the only one with cranberry’s though. There’s a few others that didn’t really click with me personally because I don’t do buffalo sauce, onions, or basil so I can’t tell you where to find similar ones far less expensive already made but I’m sure it’s easy enough to find an equivalent that’s significantly less expensive! So while they’re excellent they’re not exactly breaking down walls and cooking up original recipes that are anymore unique than existing ones on the market you’re just way way over charging for the...
Read moreI travel all over the US constantly, and love when I find little or big, different places and experiences. I only write reviews when it's well deserved, or they completely drop the ball, no I'm between. When we arrived in town, we stumbled on "Chicken Salad Chick" exactly what the name is this perfectly decorated with southern glam chick decor, and be still my heart it is based all around chicken salad. Yes I'll say it again, Chicken Salad. I was so impressed I literally said we need a franchise of this all over. I couldn't wait to try it, however it would come later than sooner, we were slammed on this campaign and didn't stop long enough til today when we wrapped it up. We are heading to Kansas in the morning, so I finally made my way to that side, and purchased a large Fancy Nancy, some for dinner and some for the road. We'll bless their hearts , and break mine, sadly it's a ball dropper. The restaurant itself is perfect, decor, clean, theme, convenient drive through/pickup cooler inside/ order online and eat in.. Location isn't bad ither. 5 stars Atmosphere gets 4 only because the service and staff get 2 stars (that's being generous) which created a blah, why am I here feel... completely took the excitement out of it. We weren't greated nor could we get our questions answered about the many different variations of chick Salad, which are all named so cute. The 3 girls were all more interested in their convo, and the guy cook convo than helping us, and quite frankly made us feel like we were impositioning all of them, with their looks, eye rolls etc. We tried to explain 3xs it was our first time, and we're trying to order something to eat and get a Togo from the premade cooler. We wound up just giving up and purchasing the Fancy Nancy Togo and left. Which would have been a dine in, aswell as 2 or 3 large variations to have for the road/Kansas. Now for the chock Salad, it's fair at the least. I was just as disappointed in it as the none southern service we received. FANCY NANCY is supposed to be plain chick/mayo apples, grapes, and nuts in it... well it had 2 yes only 2 whole grapes, not even cut up and we had to dig to the bottom to find them, we didn't think the apples were present and had to dig to find them, and counted 7ish small cut peices of apples... but lots of nuts, and dry... I'm not sure if this is what or how they are suppose to make it, however I do know it's not southern chick Salad with out a good bite full of diced up pieces of all in every bite.. esp in a large togo, @$14. So I'm sad to say, overall it's a 2stars... Def could be a 5 star if they fix the greeting, service, dice it up and actually make southern salad... We will be back through after Easter and I will try again, see if it's fixed, because sugah we...
Read moreI work for Acura of Little Rock. Last Saturday they provided all working that day lunch. Lunch that came from your incredible restaurant. I ate the pickle first... because pickle.
I ate half a classic on croissant.
In that moment, I thought about trying to save the rest for my wife to try.
You see, to want to share a chicken salad sandwich speaks volumes. I don't share food. Especially a quality sandwich as yours most definitely is.
Needless to say, I owe her a sandwich, the other half lasted 45 minutes after the thought.
I told my dear friend "kevin" about it.
He took his wife yesterday to get lunch from the Dave ward store in conway.
Today, Kevin and I came in to eat in little rock.
Stellar job.
All sides are tasty. Portions aren't too much nor too little. (Though I totally added another scoop of ckn to my blt)
For everything mentioned, I'm thankful you guys are around, close, And priced well.
Such a...
