I love Popeye’s but the service was bad and the food even worse. Straws handed to us by hand with no wrappers… no gloves used. Ugh! Handling money at the drive thru then handed me our straws. I am supposed to put the straw in my mouth after God knows where it has been, but knowing for sure the workers hands touched the straw where I would be drinking…gross. Very unsanitary, especially during a pandemic. We asked for Cajun Sparkle, it truly is the star of the show!! Sparkle makes everything taste better!!! They handed me salt & pepper. I again asked for Cajun Sparkle and he didn’t know what that was. I request that he ask someone else, then he said they don’t have any in the store. I ordered a gallon of sweet tea, but they couldn’t give it to me. The worst part was that I ordered chicken tenders and they came out with the chicken slightly pink and slimy. It had been VERY lightly cooked. Because I was in the car and had no idea it was undercooked, I dipped them in BBQ and it had a fish-like texture and I couldn’t really tell what I was eating … was it fish or chicken…. I could not identify what they gave me so I turned on the overhead light and saw undercooked chicken. We didn’t end up eating anything else that we ordered. Our faith in the food being safe was 100% gone. After spending over $40 for our family meal and chicken tender meal… we ate cold cereal when we got home. Unacceptable doesn’t cover it…it was unsanitary and should not even be open if they can’t make the food safe & edible and store and utensils sanitary. I will continue to be one of Popeye’s biggest fans, but I won’t eat at this location...
Read moreTerrible customer service. I went here during peak hours so I knew there was going to be a wait. No problem was patient it is what it is. Got 5 people in front of me and they start having issues with a credit card payment. I already have been here for about 15 minutes trying to get food. They spend about 10 more minutes trying to figure it out. I tell the lady its looks frozen and you probably have to restart it. They decide to comp her food and move to the next customer. They then announce cash only. I ask if they can restart the machine or move to the other register. They say no they can only use one register and it's this one. The drive-thru person yells out her credit card machine works. I then ask can she take my payment at the drive-through. As now I have been here for about 20ish minutes and have a line behind me. She says no, the system does not work like that and I have to get in the drive-through. When I proceed to tell here I have been for a while being patient that there must be a way they can take my payment especially after comping the other girl's meal, she apologies and says there is nothing she can do. Read moreNever in my 19 years have I ever dealt with such rude workers, for starters we pull into the drive through and order, once I ordered I let them know we would need a second order (I've done this multiple times at this location) the worker, (name started with a J) would refuse to make that happen. Not a big deal but the real problem was when we pulled to the window, we were paying partially with a gift card so when we handed it to her and she came back out she asked how much was on the gift card, we replied that er didn't know it was a gift. She lost her mind, scoffing and yelling how we couldn't know that. And then got her co worker Mia to try and she informed us that the total needs to be less than the gift card of it can't be used, I don't know about you, but I've never seen a gift card work that way and essentially if she wouldn't of been so lazy in the beginning and just let us do a separate order all of this would've been avoided, chicken is same old same old, will be coming back hope for a...
