went for dinner and it severely lacked expectations. seemed like it was rushed to open because the place was not decorated and felt very empty. only had tables in the open area right up front so it was awkward. no decor. no music. ordering was weird because we ordered using the menu numbers (d2, f3, etc) and the waitress didn’t know what we were talking about so we had to read the names of the food. they no longer serve pork bao buns which doesn’t make sense because they’ve been open for maybe a month? the food was ok. not great by any means. not authentic either. very much frozen from the asian store and reheated. none of our food was hot. all dumplings were just warm so obviously not freshly made/reheated to order. fried dumplings were crispy and crunchy but soaked in oil. pork ribs not tender. tonkatsu ramen had no flavor even after adding soy sauce and chili oil. beef brisket was smoky? didn’t make sense in the dish. pork was ok. it reminded me of the tonkatsu instant ramen from costco, precooked brisket from costco, and pork from costco. fried rice was mixture of mushy rice and crunchy rice. manager came by and asked opinions then stayed a few beats too long after conversation was over so we felt awkward having to sit there with him lingering. overall, won’t be back. not worth the money. could get the same dumplings @ mr. chen’s freezer and steam them myself for cheaper...
Read moreI walked in with my family. Comfortable and sporty. Nike apparel on myself, Hey dude with cute homey clothes on my wife and my son was dressed to par with the exception of spider man house shoes (he's 2). However you would've thought we came in homeless with regard to how we were greeted and treated. I am a good critic. Hello. JESS GOODE here lol. Good food. Nothing spectacular but it was ok. Nothing bad about it. Ranguns we fresh but batter was plain, lo mein was a bit over cooked but flavor was ok. Service was terrible. I would suspect it was my mixed couple family dynamic if not anything else. I can't see what else had these folks so rude. Watched our 5 minute after we landed neighbors table get drinks before we were ever asked. I asked who our server was and you mightve thought I called her a name. After that our plates were dropped literally with clanks Everytime they were delivered and our thank you's didn't even receive a curt response. Terrible service. Maybe not so much if your anglo. Some of these Asiatic places treat white like royalty but I didn't expect that from Vietnamese. I'm very well comfortable with people from Vietnam. In fact my hometown has a little Saigon I'm pretty well received there. Here. Not so great. Let's pick it up white is not right this is America 2024. What is anyone still...
Read moreFirst time visiting and I think it will definitely be my new favorite place. I’ve tried so many different Asian cuisine restaurants in Little Rock and most of them seem a little lacking for me, and this place just completely changed that! The food is so full of flavor and they have a pretty large variety of items to choose from so I think there really is something for everyone here! We were the only table in the restaurant so both servers were coming to help us, but didn’t seem to be communicating with each other. I will say there was a bit of a language barrier, but hey, it happens. Definitely not something I would get angry about like I’ve seen some other people mention. I came out with my fiancé and his entree came out well before mine, but it was nice because we ended up splitting both things and treating it as a coursed meal. But I understand that would upset some people so I felt it worth mentioning. I felt the waitresses were a little dry, not really up for small talk and didn’t seem happy or smiled, but I do wonder if it goes with the language barrier thing. Not a big deal, but like I said I’m trying to mention all I can to be thorough. All in all though I loved this place. The food speaks for itself and I would recommend it to literally...
