Mornings on First — Restaurant in Livermore

We saw this restaurant one day while walking downtown and knew we had to come back. We had talked to the owner and she was very pleasant. So we decided to stop in today. From the start the service was terrible. From afar, they pointed to two tables and let us know we could pick one to sit at. Unfortunately the one we chose was actually still dirty. But that happens. And I went to the restroom and all they had a back patio for seating. I asked the waitress if we could sit on the back patio because it was such a nice day. She then referred to somebody else and ask them and then asked me how many people we had in our party. I told her two. Then they reluctantly agreed to let us sit on the patio. That was not the biggest issue. The biggest issue is when we asked for cocktails. The server was very rude and his responses to us, he was not helpful in providing us options, and turn the table on us to tell him exactly what we wanted to have in our cocktail or what we wanted it to be like and then he would tell us whether or not he could do something like that. It was his whole tone and demeanor, and how he treated us. He seemed annoyed that I only ordered water. So we walked out and down the street too the breakfast club. And so far it's been great here. Horrible experience with very rude staff. However big, busy or popular you are, nothing is worse than having rude service staff & owner. On a Saturday morning, we came for brunch. 10 minutes since we were seated, no one came to take our order. We had to haul a waiter to force them to take our order. 45 minutes go by, no food. When we asked, someone said now they are making it and confirming if this is what we really wanted. She is rude & short and sends the owner. The owner instead of apologizing says oh we only had the order for 25 minutes. The receipt says ordered at 10.32, we got our order at 11.25 - never knew 25 minutes were this long !!!

I understand brunch places get busy but how you treat your customers says it all. The food is mediocre. Go someplace else to have a peaceful experience rather than...

Take this with a grain of salt, there was a car show downtown so they were very busy

The wait was about half an hour, which wasn't too bad except out waiter let us know that another party had taken our table so we had had to wait a little extra, and the manager hadn't let them kick the guests out, kind of wish they hadn't let us know bc now the management decision is bugging me

The wait for the food was also pretty long, and our order of waffles came out hard and cold. We let the staff know when they checked on us after serving the food (also had to ask them to get silverware for the table 😅) and they immediately took that meal off the bill and whipped up some waffles to go

Thought this was a 2 star brunch experience, but they generally handled the issues well and they were pretty busy, so it pushes...
