It was a long day at work and I hadn't gotten the chance to stop for lunch. I needed gas, so I pulled up fully expecting to only be filling up and grabbing a Gatorade. While inside I heard a few people talking about what great food this new shawarma place had. I talked to Tony and Mustafa for a bit about their lives and experiences with cooking for people. I couldn't believe how warm and inviting they both were, it made me feel as if I knew Tony from childhood. He is now the third generation of men in his family to create wonderful food for the public. I decided to give his chicken shawarma combo a go. Never have I seen someone make a shawarma how he did! It's grilled, and absolutely mouth watering. Not one bit of dry meat, and the sauce was perfect. I was so impressed that I immediately got in contact with my fiance, as we both love Mediterranean food. She didn't believe me, big surprise right? She didn't believe that someone finally moved in to the space in the ExxonMobil station. I went back after I got home to pick up more food for her and myself to try out for dinner. 5 stars + 2 extra. This is my first trip to Detroit (i am from Germany). We decided among colleagues to eat together on Saturday and looked for an alternative to pizza and hamburger nearby.

What can I say we were thrilled. One day before our order, I went to Shwarma 2 Go and talked to the owner about some deals or offers. Very accommodating and helpful man. To help me make a decision, he let me try the rice and recommended the catering to me.

When I picked up the food and drove to the company, we were all speechless. The price-performance ratio is absolutely unbeatable.

We ordered a catering platter for 7 people and got food for 11(grilled chicken in sauce, huge portions of humus, garlic sauce, mixed salad, rice and french fries). Each of us took something back to the hotel.

The food was ready on time and still hot.

I love eating what is made by the owner, that's why I prefer healthy food in a family business 100 times more than a steak house or a franchise company.

P.s.: I have already tried the falafel and I can recommend it to you as well. Tastes like in Lebanon.

I’ve been here twice now. Both times I got a lamb dish. I can’t even tell you what the names were, but Tony said I was going to love it, and OMG is what fantastic! I would highly recommend this place. It is one of those little hole in the wall stops. I mean it’s inside a gas station, but don’t let that turn you away. The food is amazing. I’ve NEVER liked humus. But they make their own and I went ahead and tasted it. It’s a night and day difference. It’s like comparing a fast food cheeseburger to a perfectly cooked steak. I could eat this stuff by the bucket. Ha ha which is probably why I’m the oversized trucker. They also make their own salad dressing and it is so good too. I can not say enough about how great the food is, or how friendly and what good service Tony and the crew at Shawarma 2go provide. I will make an effort to stop when I’m in the area from now on and...
