Cool Creations Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Lockport

Nice place serving some of the best ice cream in the Chicagoland area. They have s large amount of different flavors out in the open and a few more in the refrigerator. If there's something that you really like and don't see it..! ask because there's a good chance that it might be in the freezer area. The place could definitely need some updates, like a water fountain to drink water and public bathrooms, to wash your hands. They also claim to make the ice cream in house, but even if they don't make it here..! it's still very good. They have a limited amount of tables inside and outside for you to seat and enjoy you favorite scoop of ice cream. I thought that their prices were slightly high for the neighborhood. I've never had a bad experience at Cool Creations. Everyone who works here is super-friendly, and the owner posts some pretty cheesy (but amusing) videos on their facebook page. The sitting area has a 50's retro diner vibe. They have a pretty good variation in things you can get besides an ice cream cone: gelato, lemonade, t-shirts with punny phrases on them...It's a very laid-back atmosphere, and a great place to stop by when you're planning on hanging around downtown Lockport on a warm day. I live nowhere near this place, but I Love Cool Creations, & have traveled for it, but I prefer it in my neighborhood. . I am so sad, disappointed, & upset that they took the one by My House away, (in Whiting)!!! I used to take my kids to the one by My House when they were little, and they still remember. . I love the different flavors they have, my favorite was butter pecan, & now I want to take my last son, (Who is 14, & Loves ice cream, like Me), But if I want too I have to go all the way to Lockport, because it is the closest one. .
