Unfortunately the service here is terrible. The cakes are good, if you manage to pick one up. There are multiple times I have ordered and not been able to pick up the cake or it was cancelled. Some of that was my fault, for ordering past a normal window date for a bakery. But when you order it usually says 3 business days so I’ve assumed that was the case. The other issue is dealing with the assistant. I’ve put dates on my pre order forms as well as had to order by email because certain cake flavors are listed but not an option to purchase. I personally would love to get it all done in a phone call, but they rarely answer the phone. They say something about it not being recorded, but I don’t see what the issue is with writing it down or setting up a recording? You then have to resort to email which can take a little while. Sometimes I’m not the fastest email replier because I’m busy and I’m assuming the same for them. You also run the issue of them never responding by email. I was trying to order a cake for my sobriety so the exact date wasn’t important but she eventually just never emailed me back. They also have nothing else on their website about how long things take, or the best way to communicate, or a page explaining the order process. It’s also unfortunate if there’s a “miscommunication” they’re options are to give you a cake 3 days later or refund you. Not helpful for the actual situation. We got all of the details together via email (because she has never answered the phone any time I called) and we set a date for me to come in to drop off the gender information. I know we set a date because I specifically asked if me coming in that day would give her enough time to make the cake since I would need to pick it up soon after. Ms. Moore (or whoever responds to the emails) said yes and agreed to me coming in that day. Fast forward, my husband and I drive out of our way to the bakery when Google says the business is open...we also called before we left, but again she never answers the phone...and they were closed!    Read moreI called EMC on Saturday 11:40am and talked to customer service about an 8” birthday cake that I needed on Monday afternoon. I knew this was going to be a challenge since most cake bakeries are closed on Sundays and Mondays. EMC is opened both days. At that time, I was not informed that Monday would be a problem. I was asked to send an email to EMC, specifying the type of cake, which I promptly sent on Saturday 11:50am via the link on their website. I received no response and decided to call with follow up on Sunday (24 hours later). I was met with total surprise and informed that filling the order under such a short timeframe would be impossible.
