Other smashburgers are good, but this one in Lodi was questionable.
The staff handling the food weren't wearing hair nets, aprons, masks, gloves, but the person who was wearing gloves was also the person directly handling money. And funny thing is he didn't change gloves after dealing with the money then walking over to handle the food, shakes, ice cream. Counter intuitive... Gotta change gloves frequently...
Then you had a lady who had 3 inch press on fingernails dealing with food with no gloves (prob cause she would rip the gloves or her finger nails). I even saw her drop a napkin on the floor, pick it up and throw into the trash (which is great), but she didn't wash her hands after picking up anything off the floor where you saw her finger nail hit the ground. Then started handling food from the kitchen directly and put that food into bags.
Also ordered the tots and when i get home and look at the tots, there was green mold on the tots, which begs to question if other tots were contaminated or not. Obviously threw those out.
I had never experienced issues with other smashburgers before, so this was just a little shocking to get this level of inexperience with this Lodi location. Just a lot of food...
Read moreOne of the better Burger chains. Lots of free topping choices. Prices are reasonable, but even better if you have a coupon. My favorite is the turkey burger with about 80% of the available free toppings. If you're vegetarian, the black bean burger is also very good. It's just a little bland, so I recommend one of the spicier toppings to balance it out.
Try the spinach salad this time, and was not too impressed. Lots of spinach in there that wasn't very fresh. Dressing was nothing to write home about. I'm going to stick to the burgers next time, which are always reliable.
Fries are so-so, but the fried vegetables are really good. As far as soda choices go, I find it strange that they have Cherry Coke and Dr. Pepper right next to each other - basically the same thing. I would prefer to see Barq's Root Beer or Ginger Ale instead of the Cherry Coke.
The shakes made with Haagen-Dazs are delicious, especially the Salted Caramel. They can split them if you want to divide between two people.
Overall the food and service here are very good, a cut above the rest. If they had more organic options or grass-fed beef, I'd give...
Read morethe worst. will never go there again. I usually park my car outside of this restaurant, and call them to order food, because I don't want my kids to run around in the restaurant. They usually answer the phone immediately, then tell me to hold on. typical waiting time is more than 10 minutes. One time he made me wait for 20 minutes, so I went in, and he came to me to ask what I need, and he completely forgot the he was still on the phone with me. The other time, it was late, I called, a girl answered immediately, and told me to hold on. I was right outside, I watched her give food to 2 customers, then there was no any other customers inside, and she just disappeared. I went in, waited for her to appear, and told her that I was the one on the phone with her. She said she was placing order for another customer, and she said she didn't need my attitude. This is the worst experience ever. I honestly don't like the way they handle the food either. multiple times I saw them picking up fries with their barehands and put...
