I was a faithful customer at Best Smoothie until most recently when customer service took a drastic turn.
One issue that we had is, the taste of the smoothie became based on who made it. Shouldn’t the taste be fairly consistent if the same ingredients are used?? Nope!!
The final and major issue for us was the Customer Loyalty Program. As mentioned, and in being faithful, we stopped at this location several times per week. Additionally, we’d periodically visit the Lawrenceville location. (Side note: Yes, the smoothies are pricey but we were supporting a local business and felt good about doing so.)
Per the Loyalty Program, you get $1 off on Monday’s. You also have the option to earn $1 off a large smoothie or receive a free small smoothie after so many visits. While visiting to redeem my freebie, I ordered a large smoothie and requested to redeem my free small smoothie. The young lady instead took $1 off my large and told me to have a great day. I explained to her that I’d requested to redeem the small free smoothie and she stared at me like I had 2 heads. With the owner employing a number of teenagers, I assumed that the young lady may have been new and unfamiliar with ringing up a free smoothie.
Well, the time came again for me to redeem my free small smoothie and the owner was there. Great!! We were confident that all would go well. Historically, the owner (lady with accent…sounds like a Jamaican accent) had usually been pleasant.
As before, I ordered a large smoothie and requested to redeem my free small smoothie. The owner instead took $1 off my large and told us to have a great day. I explained to her that I’d requested to redeem the small free smoothie and she stated, “It’s the same thing”. However, it’s actually not and walking away with 2 cups versus 1 cup is completely different. After providing a full explanation that when you provide your customers with a choice, you should honor that decision & blah, blah, blah; the owner was visibly upset but she agreed to make another smoothie. While making the second smoothie, she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes and gave us all of the facial expressions that she could configure between 2 eyes, a nose and a pair of lips. She actually seemed offended that we had the audacity to stand on our choice of having a free small smoothie. After making the smoothie, she attempted to shove it at me as if we were wasting her time.
That was our last visit. Although we try our best to support locals, we will not support rude, disrespectful, non-customer service oriented individuals who can’t honor their own specials and customer-based incentives. Since that incident occurred, we refused to support this business and would rather drink water from a dirty mud puddle than buy a product from this...

I decided to try the Pineapple Bliss smoothie, and let me tell you—it was fresh and absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it felt like a tropical vacation in a cup. What really sets this place apart is their amazing sea moss.

As I proceeded to order she informed me the speakers did not work and to pull forward. Which she could have told me in the beginning instead of waiting when I order my fourth smoothie.
