Terrible, a total disservice to the Dairy Queen brand. I visited this location with my two sons the Friday before father's day. They used their allowance money to treat me and we were all wishing we went some where else after we were finished. The dining room is old and in dire need of a major face lift. Lighting was bad and it felt musty. The booths are worn out and dirty. The employees looked as if they were being held hostage, not a smile in sight. Our food was delivered by a young man who didn't say a word, smile or make eye contact as he placed our food on the table. The food was ok but no where near the quality that we are accustom to at DQ. The biggest kicker was dessert. We ordered 3 small blizzards, all the same type, and they were a feeble attempt at best. Toppings were barely mixed and they tasted off. They weren't the same as our normal DQ. Almost as if they ran out of the right topping/mix and were trying to pass off something else in its place. When we spoke with the order taker and told her that we did not like them she just blew us off and had a oh well too bad attitude. We asked for a small portion of sauce to add to the Blizzards and they said that they would have to charge us. I was blown away. I could not believe that after spending $45 for three people to eat they had the audacity to ask for more money for their poor performance. This is not how you treat customers. Especially in these times with costs so high and with so many dining options to choose from. The smallest effort by anyone in this restaurant to make their customers happy would have avoided a one star review. It is just a matter of time before this place is closed and something new is built in its place. I know you see it, food cost is steadily climbing, you can't get good people to work for the rate that you need to pay in order to keep your primary costs were they need to be to turn a profit. Electricity and utility costs are double what they used to be and there is no chance they will return to what they were. In the back of your mind you know that you are one major repair (hvac, turbochef, ice cream machine) away from being negative for the rest of the year. So you cut corners and accept. Oh well have fun on your...
Read moreStay away if you ever plan to use a coupon 2 days in a row. I am a paying customer of this establishment, every time I have visited. Not one time have i ever gotten something for nothing. Yesterday, I visited and ordered, pretzels and a small smoothie. I had a coupon that gave me a smoothie free with purchase, this provided by Dairy Queen via the app. I was able to use it. Today, my wife attempted to use her free blizzard coupon, that she received via the app for her birthday. We ordered food, that we were going to pay for and the blizzard. When we reached the window, a woman(who refused to identify herself, later found out it was the owner) looked into our vehicle and said we use too many coupons and she refused to accept because we have used too many coupons. We have used a total of 2 coupons; BOGO Pretzel and the free smoothie with pretzel purchase. The key in all of these coupons is BUY or PURCHASE. Again, she looked into the car and at that point she stated she will not accept the coupon with no real justification or detailed explanation. At this point we have no choice but to believe it was racially motivated. We have never gotten anything for free. We have always spent money in this establishment. We were never given a warning, we were never approached about coupon abuse. She just refused service. We have...
Read moreWhen I saw them pull an already made ice cream cone out of a freeze, I knew something wasn’t right. After they passed it to 3 people before the final guy dipped it, I got a hot mess. He wipe off the chocolate that slide off the ice cream with a paper towel. He preceded a cone with slithers of chocolate dripping. I asked him if he would eat that. He looked at it just like I did. SMH. When I asked what was wrong with the chocolate, he said…(shrugged his should) I guess it’s too hot. WTH! So I politely declined the mess and asked for a refund. He just looked, took my card back, applied the refund and let the window slam shut. Then he turned his back. Yeah, no I will not be returning to this location EVER! And if you are reading this I would suggest you to visit a different one than the...
